The Harford Artists' Association Gallery had a booth at the recent Bel Air Farmers Market, and that reminded me that I had never been to their Gallery nestled behind the Bel Air Armory. I walked from Main Street through the pleasant Ward Park along side the Armory back to the glaaers and was pleasantly surprised with the huge amount of items on display including different styles of painting, jewlery, ceramics, photography, sculpture, and knitting. Interestingly the Gallery also serves as the town's visitor center. I was particularly drawn to three paintings composed by a controlled dripping/wash of acrylic and had to purchase one to bring home. It is good to learn that six 2-month exhibits are planned for 2022, giving reason for frequent returns.

Cannot believe the level of artistic excellence! Not only is the artwork incredible, the prices are ridiculously low for one-of-a-kind original art. Such an amazing variety of styles and actually got to meet some of the artists while we were there!

This organization deserves praise for its hard work in putting the artists of Harford County on the map - now with a delightful art studio in downtown Bel Air to display its many and varied works. Those involved from the beginning have spent long hours and some years in getting to this place. And, with the many talented people involved, it is improving all the time. A "must" to visit and enjoy!

This little gallery is tucked back off Main Street but well worth finding. The offerings by local artists are beautiful, and the offerings in their smalll gift shop are unique and very special.

We visited the gallery during the October 2017 downtown Bel Air, MD Girls Night Out (wine and cheese available for a small donation). Because it was Breast Cancer Awareness month, they had local artists decorate bras for an auction. We bid and won a bra that was decorated in sunflowers that I gave to my wonderful house host who loved sunflowers.

The talent in Harford County is amazing. If you're lucky, you might even meet some of the artists while here. The new venue for Harford artists is wonderful.

Watercolors, oils, photography, lithography, drawings, sculpture, jewelry, pottery...all rendered by Harford County residents. The subjects range from the local (ducks, crabs, covered bridges, Chesapeake scenes, old buildings) to somewhere (Maryland, DC, Paris, etc.) to wherever the artist's imagination wandered.
The new space has a solid wall of natural light---10-foot-high glass on the entry side. The location is behind the downtown Armory; quiet, yet just a few steps from downtown Bel Air's restaurants and shops. Make an afternoon of it---you will be enriched in several ways!

I hear they're moving and I'm sad but that's okay ~ it's a larger space for more artists to display ~ YAY!!!!!!!! Lots of large talent in this cozy gallery. If you love some original artwork and a different spin on things ~ you must visit this place. It's beautiful inside and out. It's surrounded by lovely greenery and a gorgeous home on the grounds. Rockwood Manor is the home and I believe you can do a tour as well. The prices on the artwork and jewelry are very very fair for the amount of work that's been done. CHECK IT OUT!!! HURRY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Wonderful local talent in a small gallery off the beaten path (although the gallery is supposedly moving to The Armory on Main Street in Bel Air).

This gallery is packed with local artists' oils, watercolors, pottery, and jewelry. Because it is non profit, the prices are much more reasonable than other galleries. Every two months, there is a new show with a reception. Fun little place to stop for a very special one of a kind piece of art.
