Dinner here was a joke. I have never been to eatvatba place that had no silverware and no appetizer plates. We were served our appetizer of onion rings with nothing to eat them on. This set the mood for the entire evening. The jalapeno and corn crab chowder had the consistency of a soup. It had potato squares, about 6 kernels of corn and maybe some crab meat. The lamb burger had a slaw type of condiment that took away any flavor of the lamb. The fish and chips were so oily when you broke into the fish, oil ran onto the plate. The ribeye wrap was dry. The Irish steak was cooked medium not medium rare. Finally, the charge per soda. A soda is 3$ times what you have, never heard of this before but whatever. This is not a place for a family on a Saturday night. The cursing and content of conversation at the tables next to us was out of control. This place is more like a dive than a restaurant. I will never go again.

Had cup of Red pepper, crab & gouda soup! A Sean Bolan's original! A blend of fire-roasted red peppers, smoked gouda and lump crabmeat, finished with a touch of honey.
This was delicious. Also Irish coffee for me and a local brew for hubby. A ‘local area’ clientele environment. Must wear masks in, no standing at bars and tables are set for social distancing. ‘Celtic’ music playing in background and sports games on TV screens. Oh and tables & spaces at bars are sanitized after patrons leave. Doing a brisk business inspire of 2020 circumstances!

Started out by ordering food to pick up and take out, but eventually got attracted to the idea of actually eating in the restaurant/bar section and am loving it! The service is very good, attentive, and relatively prompt though not frenetic or crazy, the ambience is a touch of Ireland in the feel and decor, and the food is downhome delicious. The most favorite dishes I've had are the very homey shepherd's pie with the champ (the mashed potato concoction made with chives or chopped green onions on top of the meaty sublayer), and the absolutely delicious bowl of Irish stew, with its mix of tender chunks of beef and lamb and which I would love to learn how to duplicate. There is also an upstairs seating area which I ate at a long, long time ago before it was Sean Bolan's, but under its current name, I haven't yet ventured up there. Be aware that the downstairs eating areas can get quite noisy as they are very near the bar.

Without a doubt the best food in Bel Air. It’s a genuine Irish pub feel. Comfortable dining upstairs and pub feel downstairs. The food here will surprise you. So good! And nice beer list too.

Every single time I eat at Bolan's the meal tops the last. The crab dip is delicious, steaks are cooked to perfection, the best salmon I have ever had, their homemade chips are really good. The food is always fresh and hot. Service is great, staff is friendly, overall an A+++ restaurant.

Great place to go and spend time with family and friends. Good for a beer and munchy stuff. In a nice row of places to go and see in main street Bel Air.

Excellent pub, small but not to small, warm and inviting. Plenty of beers on tap and excellent food. Noisy but fun downstairs and quieter by equally nice upstairs. Can’t wait to stop by again

We're going to Ireland soon so a visit to Sean Bolan's gave us a feel for an Irish pub. Had a great lunch - no beer for me but 2 others had 2 of the beers available that day. Service was excellent and the pub has a great atmosphere. Its not a huge place but that's part of its charm. Stop in when you're in or close to Bel Air!

The beer selection was food, the food all tasted great came with a group of friends from work and they were easily able to seat us, our beers were never empty and the staff made the experience so much better
