The water smells terrible and the walkway is COVERED in goose poop. Not enjoyable at all, which is a shame because it’s so close to my house!

In the winter one can see all the built up land surrounding the park and hear the constant hum of traffic on Churchville Road, but if one focuses on the pond itself, these distractions slip away. One has constant companions with the resident ducks, geese and seagulls. Humorous to watch them beg for food though the signage clearly forbids feeding them. The clear blue sky was reflected well in the water. The actual Bynum Run can be easily seen in winter moving alongside the property. The whole walk around the pond is paved, and there are plenty of picnic tables, grills and benches. Four small docks reach out into the water, but there is no bridge to the island. As I am ready to leave, i am enjoying watching the birds waddle up to greet the next car to arrive.

Bynum Run Park is small but a nice quiet place to walk or sit on a bench and read. The pond isn't huge but it is pretty, especially in the Fall. My guess is the distance of the walk around the pond is roughly a quarter of a mile. It's not an exciting place which I rather like. Often you will see adults and kids fishing there from the edge of the pond. Most of the time it is a quiet sleep little park with only a few people you have to share it with.
There is a huge flock of geese and ducks of varying species. They are pretty but not the cleanest animals. There can be a lot of bird droppings on the path to avoid. Other than that, it is a nice little park for walks and quiet moments on a bench.It is worth a visit.
No feeding the ducks and geese - they are well fed by county and will not come flocking to you for any food.

The ducks and geese can be noisy and dirty but its still a nice walk around the pond as well as a good place to take a small child to show them some natural habitat. This past spring they had gorgeous wild flowers planted on the hill that I very much enjoyed viewing and photographing. There are signs to say "don't feed the ducks" but people seem to do it anyway. It is just a reservoir for the water system which is why they don't want you to feed the ducks but it is also a nice little respite especially as a walk on a spring or summer evening.

Years ago, I used to come here all the time with my daughter. We watched the ducks and enjoyed the walk. I went back last fall to walk for exercise and realized it had been a long time! The pathway was muddy and not easy to walk. It is such a great area to afford quiet walks and family picnics. Hope the county can bring it back!

The sign says, "Don't feed the ducks" but everyone I've ever seen there brings their old bread and stand on the wooden pier and feeds the ducks and hugs fish.

Quiet park on outskirts of Bel Air Maryland. Great place to just spend some quiet time. Maybe fish a little or just watch the ducks and geese paddle about.
