We had visited Valley View a couple weeks ago and were almost overwhelmed with the highly packed shelves and wall displays of ornaments. Today, there was still plenty of merchandise, but greatly reduced. Clearly people are going all out this year to decorate and enjoy the upcoming holidays. We still found interesting ornaments ranging from tacos to Christmas motorcycles. The fully decorated trees, many that rotated and had blinking lights greeted customers cheerfully. Christmas garden Displays with lighted houses and moving parts were fun to watch. Holiday plants, flowers and wreaths were still available though in reduced quantity. Even so, the bright colors were welcoming and fascinating. It's not really Christmas until one walks through Valley View Farms.

The didn't except American express, then I asked to pay cash and they didn't except cash - so I had to leave my purchases . They do a lot of advertisements on TV and never mentioned that they don't except cash - so people wasting time going there

After building multiple garden "rooms" on our 6 acre oasis, I realized that almost everything we've bought (over 50 plants, a fountain, numerous decorative planters etc.) from this place, including the koi !! It's a very large and VERY expensive garden center. Customer service and return policy's are virtually non-existent There are Much better garden centers in Baltimore county. I would give zero stars but this site won't allow me to.

How can you pass valley view by if you are in the area. After brunch at iron rooster, we stopped by to look for some items for Christmas, including live plants. A ton of staff, and some were really friendly and quick courteous checkout, but some staff seemed too busy to help us. Quality trees, plants, Christmas live flora. Not a fan of all the Christmas ornaments but they have a humongous offering and it was really busy. Enjoyed the visit.

Valley View Farms offers year round opportunities for learning, gardening and decorating. Today was the perfect opportunity to mask up and get some holiday cheer. The decorated and themed trees are gorgeous, and the key ornaments are on sale right near each tree. The garden center is full of poinsettias and holiday greens in addition to the unusual houseplant displays like bonsai, air plants and succulents. Even bought some seeds to start indoors for next years vegetable garden. Parking is adequate and staff are friendly and helpful. Now I am in the mood to celebrate.

Every year I take my grandchildren to buy an ornament for their Christmas 🎄! We always have a great time looking at all the beautiful trees. The set up with the houses and moving decorations are cute! It’s a little pricing but the smiles are worth it!

We have been going to Valley View for Christmas for decades, a special part of our holiday. Decorated trees are an inspiration, we always find ornaments we have to have. Dept 56 houses are beautiful, I bought a lemax unit this year. A great kick-off for Christmas, don’t miss it

Meeting up with our kids, friends and Godchildren at Valley View has been a long running tradition but each year it seems the place is becoming more of a Boutique style shop - big price tags for not a whole lot. Gone are the days where you could grab some ice cold cider (hard or sweet) right from the barrel then load hubby's arm with pumpkins for the pay one price for all you can carry. Sadly the place has lost its charm for me but the kids still love seeing all the trees, each a different theme and of course the display of miniature houses but each time we come certain sections seem like they aren't well managed and stocked (candles for example) and you can never find assistance if you need it. Looks like the time has come to switch up and venture outside our comfort zone.

Valley View Farms opens as a Christmas destination spot on/after Thanksgiving through New Years...it is a DESTINATION travel spot. So many Christmas traditions are celebrated to take everyone back to the wonderment of the season as a child...or at least how Norman Rockwell would have painted it. From the tiny RR villages, to their EXTENSIVE collection from various European countries and elsewhere...magical! I've never been there during the regular year when it is a garden center, but I have been going nearly every other year to get my Christmas fix. Need a gift for someone...you can find it there, whether it is an ornament based on a profession or something else (like Downton Abbey ornaments), yule find it there! :-D Varying price points...traditional items from Germany can be expensive, so make them heirloom items to pass down to future generations. Nearby Amish Market for tasty treats and hearty meals. Easy enough to park, and my wheelchair fits in the door and down the aisles...but go early if you are in a wheelchair, so it is not crowded. A bit of work getting into the bathroom...but you're not going for that...you're going for Christmas present & presents!

I have been dealing with Valley View since 1965 and they have only gotten better with time. We recently had a relative who passed away and we wanted to plant a tree in the cemetery in their memory. Ty at Valley View was very helpful in assisting us in picking out the right tree. Seth and his crew did a wonderful job of planting and mulching the tree. They are caring and wonderful to work with.
