I was traveling from Sunbury Pa to Emmitsburg Md and needed to pull off and look up hotels. This was perfect! Very pretty area got out and stretched my legs some. It was getting into the evening, not so many stopping there on the cars side, so I was a tad leery getting out and going to the restrooms. It is very well lit up, that helps.

The grounds and building are beautiful especially for a roadside visitors center. Right off route 15 at the MD/PA states line. Very excellent staff and plenty of information on the local area

Paramos para nos informar a respeito das atrações e hoteis em Maryland e fomos muito bem atendidos. O lugar é bonito, dispos de todas informações que precisávamos, além de banheiro limpo. A atendente foi muito simpática e solícita.

Best non-Interstate rest area anywhere. Nice bathrooms, vending area and Maryland State maps. Just after state line.

Not your typical Welcome Center. The picnic area has many tables spread over a wide area with parking nearby. There is a view and several tables are under a covered pavilion that guarantees shade (or shelter if it is raining). Nice pet area and playground should you be traveling with pets or small children, Staff was particularly helpful and friendly. Nice clean bathroom.

The welcome center has traveler information for every part of Maryland. Enthusiastically recommended for any visitor to Maryland. The information they provide will help you put together a great itinerary for your vacation/visit. This is an outstanding resource for all travelers! Enthusiastically recommended!

I don't normally review Welcome Centers, but I felt compelled to review this one. The facilities were clean and the staff was friendly and helpful. I really enjoyed the on-site playground and dog walking area. Overall, I was very impressed with my experience here.
