Premium outlet once the crown jewel of Washington county lost many of it's outlet stores due to the opening of Clarksburg premium outlet just 40 miles south east of the Hagerstown location ..The shopping strip has lost many tenants including name brand stores since the opening of the Clarksburg location a few years back .and the arrival of covid 19 made their decline of Business much worse..
I was at the former outlet strip just recently and I visited the food court and was shocked to see only two food shops open but with a small fraction of customers in the dining area.This was a Sunday evening which was always flourishing with patrons who's cars filled all parking stallls on the lot facing 70 west .it was heart breaking to see a shopping strip that once upon a time thrived with patrons
.pretty much deserted.
Lastly the fate of premium outlets hinge on customers who are the life line of shopping outlets.Unfortunately customers who travel from miles away to patronize at premium outlets are not coming back so the owners of the outlets should think of can converting some of the empty units into senior citizens apts

Just like all shopping centers it’s half empty now and easy to find parking. However, the shops we visited had good deals and were brightly lit, clean and had nice staff. We liked American Eagle, Levis and Under Armour the best. The food court had a good variety and was clean. I hope they find something to do with all those empty store spaces. Half of the outlet is empty, but it’s the same thing everywhere because of online shopping and all inclusive big box stores.

Nice selection of stores and great location! Always good deals there! Nike, Adidas, Yankee Candle, Under Armor, and other great stores to checkout.

My wife and I hadn't been here in about 10 years and weren't surprised by the empty storefronts with the recent course of retail, but sad at the same time remembering when this place was packed with people. There still are over 60 stores but some are spread out a little and it's a shame they can't put them all together to make it more manageable. Yankee Candle, Under Armour, Rack Room Shoes, Coach, Kirkland's, Columbia, Nautica among many other big brands still exist here as well as a small food court. As usual there were some nice bargains to be found. We would drop in again if in the area and the specific store or stores met our needs.

Not sure what has happened here but this is perhaps the saddest outlet mall I've ever been too. Around 50% of the store are empty, I can't see this place lasting much longer. Very sad.

I have been here a few times over the years since it is close to where I live. I used to be more enamored; most recently, I realized it is not worth the short drive. Feels like a has been.

We used to love spending the day here, but with so many stores gone, we rarely visit anymore. The whole experience was about an hour, the highlight being Auntie Anne’s Pretzels- which are still fabulous!

Mid-Dec 2020: Folks, this place is DEAD: 1) Their highway/directional signs have been removed, 2) Only 20% of (original) total stores remain. We visited at 11am, on a Friday, which, for a "real"mall, should be a good day for customers, but less than 2 dozen cars were in the huge parking area - an indication of its present, sad situation. "In the day", this was an excellent mall: all store spaces rented, good mix of stores, and so, very popular! Unfortunately, the years-long recession (2016+), and then the present CV "scare", were/are the reasons for its demise, we believe. RIP

My husband and I were shoe shopping the outlets only have a few sneaker places it seemed like a ghost town and it was a saturday, people are not shopping the stores like they once did.

If you are looking for something different, and great quality, no matter if it`s clothing or furniture, the Prime Outlets is for you. I bought a smart jacket for a great price, which better`s the usual clothing you can get from cheap based stores. Ample parking, you will need a whole day to visit all the stores in the area. Quality at it`s best, and the store assistants are happy to help you in any way. Cannot recommend this enough.
