Lovely day for a walk and view of the water. Definitely recommend visiting this spot and reconnecting with nature. The carvings of birds on the dock were spectacular.

Very clean. Nice relaxing walk along the water. The bag pipe player was an unexpected bonus. The people were very friendly.

Looking for a day trip from the Philly or Baltimore area? Check this place out. The promenade is free, and you get some great views of the Chesapeake Bay!
There are also plenty of cheap or free activities. Some people were picnicking, but we decided to bring our gloves and a ball and have a catch.
The promenade is one of our favorite places to check out. You should check it out, too.

Sweet romantic walkway for couples to leisurely stroll. And nearby delicious eatery for ice cream and snacks. But there were bugs constantly landing on us when we sat on the park bench in the shade

The Promenade is actually a long boardwalk along the shore with small tracks back into the marsh and trees. It is like a wild bird sanctuary where I saw red wing blackbirds as well as the usual geese and gulls posing for their photos. Wild iris and flowering shrubs were highlights. Historic Places bookend the walk with the old Bayou Hotel at the west end near Tydings Park and the Concord light house at the east. Side trails lead to the Decoy and Maritime museums. Although today was bright sun, there was a light breeze and the waters of the Chesapeake Bay sparkled. This is a real treasure.

This is a lovely walking trail along the waterfront in Havre de Grace. There are many interesting lookout points with historical references and nature information. There is a small coffee and ice cream place at the end of the walk and a gazebo.

if you only have time for one stop this walk should be it! Amazingly clean and well maintained area.

The promenade provides a wonderful place to stroll and breathe in fresh air by the water. The day we walked from the lighthouse to the Promenade Grill was warm, not too hot or cold, so perfect for walking, lingering, reading historical plaques, and observing nature and people.

A pretty area to walk around and enjoy a little bit of history. Benches to sit on. Little stores to shop in. (They close early) Restrooms available.

Hi! My two sisters and hubbies and I are coming from Baltimore, and Phila, areas to spend a day-starting lunch in the area. Hubby is familiar from days long ago and has encouraged us all to bring lunches. Are there areas to sit and eat? Are there areas to sit and chat? How about walks? Gardens? Comfortable seating? Yes, there are multiple docks which you are able to fish off of. One within the parking lot area of the promenade, off of the boardwalk, as well as a bit off the boardwalk.
