Took my grandsons, ages 11 & 7 twice already this summer and they ask to go back every week. One hour is the time limit and that’s plenty of time to wear them out. There is a floating dock that surrounds the course and parents/adults are welcome to walk around and take photos/videos of the family as they climb, jump and swim. The life guards are very observant and keep their eyes on the people at all times. I am pretty critical of life guards taking their jobs seriously and these guys and ladies do. Everyone wears a supplied life jacket to keep the fun even safer. All of the employees were kind and courteous and went out of their way to smile and answer any questions. Nice picnic tables on the shore in the shade where non participants can watch the fun. Great activity, kids love it.. will certainly go back!

this place is really cool, it's kind of a workout also, you have to use some upper body strength to pull yourself out of the water onto the inflatables but it is so much fun, 3-4 slides, a swing, and you can jump off some of the attractions into the water, it's very cool and a must do for anyone visiting the lake

If you are looking for a good activity try this one. The slides and swings are the best. It has something for kids of all ages. The only drawback is that it does not fill up the whole afternoon as the time slots are for 1 hour.

We went with a group of 9 kids (ages 9-14), and all of them had a blast! We ended up doing a 2nd hour for the discounted rate. We had trouble booking online for the same day, so we just went in person that day and were able to get them signed up, no problem! Give yourself an extra 20-30 minutes to allow time for paying and filling out the waivers. This was our 4th time vacationing in Deep Creek and our 1st time to Splash Island - the kids absolutely loved it and can't wait to go back next time!

When my family and I visited the facility, some safey concerns were noted :
- Blind spots for the Lifeguards - Lifeguards missing from the swim area during the session - Lifeguards preoccupied with other tasks - Lifeguards asking the parents to find the other Lifeguard because they needed assistance - Lack of appropriate response by other Staff when advised the other Lifeguard needed help - Staff providing Safety Lecture at start did not speak loudly or clearly - Missing immobilization equipment on backboard - Overall lack of communication.
While my children seemed to have fun, as a parent employed in public safety, I am concerned. I will not be taking my family back. I have addressed the concerns with management. All they can say is “we are sorry” and indicated they will address my concerns.
I am hopeful the issues will be addressed so that if an incident does occur the Staff can act efficiently and effectively and it does not result in a negative outcome for tourism in the area.
-The posted photo below is of the Backboard that would be used to immobilize a swimmer in case of an injury.
It is missing a piece of the device. I am not sure what is in the First Aid Kit, but I am not confident it would be efficient for anything other than a small wound.

Came with kids and Grandkids. They had a great time swimming and going on, over and through the inflatables in the area. The overall area is a good size with a number of things to do. About 7 picnic tables and each family there staked out their own spot. We got the last table so if going next time I would bring chairs or blanket if not everyone is experiencing the attraction.

Blow up items as attraction. On Deep Creek Lake. Basically a dock with water amusements to play on and swim.

My 8 year old had a blast on the Island and claimed repeatedly it was the favorite part of her long weekend. Like other folks have mentioned though it's pretty price prohibitive for larger groups and families. It was certainly $30 well spent in our case but it's going to be hard to fork over that $60 when my son is ready to go too.
The whole outdoor space was well maintained and had several life guards throughout. There are also several picnic tables on the grounds and a floating dock that encircles the entire course that you are free to walk around on to watch the shenanigans.
Overall it was a good time but the sticker shock was a bit difficult to digest.

Our family thoroughly enjoyed this island inflatable place. IT was so much fun just going through all the obstacles and slides.
