This great spot has left Ocean City MD permanently, sorry to see it go! Still have a location in Rehoboth DE if you'd like to make the trip up north...

Great idea, not cheap!

This store is wonderful and so is the product. However, some may be taken aback by the prices. I think it is definitely worth the visit because they do have one of a kind salt selections and a large assortment of BBQ rubs.

Great shop!

We stopped in today after lunch. Great variety of spices and teas. The staff member was very friendly and helpful. We will definitely be back. Can't wait to have some tea this evening.

Nice place to shop on a rainy day

Wide selections of teas and spices. Sales staff is very friendly and helpful. Store is well organized and exceptionally clean.

Great variety

I have visited several locations of The Spice & Tea Exchange over the years. They are always a little bit pricey, but their spices are of excellent quality. There are jars of the spice blends and of the teas that you can smell. I am always pleased with the taste and quality of items purchased at these stores and this was no exception.

A Unique and Friendly Spice Store for Cooks and Non-cooks Alike

My wife and I visited the Spice and Tea Exchange of Ocean City in July 2016. It is in the same quaint outside mall as Ron Jons and Dolle's Candyland on the Coastal Highway. Go to this shopping area if you get the time as it is very clean and relaxing with interesting shopping. It has its own ample parking. This shopping area was my favorite place in Ocean City. The spice shop is at the end of the complex near the bay and so may be hidden to many potential customers who don't walk the entire shopping area. I am a big fan of spice places but have little idea what to do with most of them. Spice and Tea Exchange encourages you to open up any of their hundreds (perhaps) of spices and spice mixtures to take a smell. They told us that they created many of the mixtures themselves right there in the store and some local restaurants use spices purchased there. These unique type shops in vacation areas seem to ratchet up the joy of a vacation. Along with other spices we bought a “Tuscany Blend” which smells unbelievable. I tried it on steak before grilling and it was really good. There are spices here for every conceivable type of meat or fish and every style (Cajun, Southern, Italian, Moroccan, Indian, Greek, etc.). They have a large variety of salts and peppers of various strengths and smells too. The store was very clean, spacious, with a friendly staff who love spices. They also sell tea blends that they made (though not a lot of them) and some cooking accessories. They sold a unique line of green tea breath mints that were very refreshing but they were out of them that day (had samples left). The prices seemed about average for this type of store. The only negative comment I can make is, we would have liked to see more pepper and salt grinder selections and more teas. If you have never been to a spice store and you like cooking, you have no idea what you are missing. Don't miss this one in Ocean City (they have other locations as well outside of Maryland).
