The winery is unpretentious and perfect for a afternoon get away. The host was welcoming and attentive. Varied selection of wine and tastings. Don’t drive past it! Visit!

Royal Rabbit Vinetard was the site location for a 'Fairy Market' celebration with musical entertainment, vendors of craft items, and other activities. A rousing success, and the wine tastings were incredible. The site holds other themed weekends throughout the year, and Im heartily rewcommend it.

We ordered a "wine and cheese experience" that was advertised as $25 per person. We spoke to 2 different employees regarding our selection and were told that it was $25 per person.
When we paid, we were charged $27 per person. My friend went back in and questioned it, and was told that the price in the system was $27 but since the menu was $25, they could refund the original charge and then re-run our card for the $25 price with an override from the owner. After the refund was processed, the employee asked the owner to come process the override twice, but he was busy on a call. My friend finally had to inform them of our reservations elsewhere to get the owner to come process our card.
If that had been the end of it, it wouldn't have been a big deal. However when processing the override, the owner informed my friend that the price was actually $27 "but since you caught it we will give you the $25 price".
Had it just been a misprint on the menu, we would have understood. But 2 different employees told us as we were ordering that the price was $25. The owner stating we "caught" the error leads me to believe we are not the first customers this has been done to. I'm not sure if they are false advertising or trying to scam people for more money, but either way I would not recommend this winery to anyone due to their sketchy business practices.
Update- Several days later and it appears that they did not actually process the refund to my card, so I was charged $108 for something that we were told was $50. I called and spoke to someone and was told that this is an issue with Visa and it often takes several days to process, but I have never experienced this on any other purchase/refund and have been using Visa for years.
I guess they weren't happy with an upset customer, so instead of calling they texted me the following. I've since blocked the number because I'm absolutely baffled at how someone can think any of this is an okay business practice.

The price is supposed to be $27 for person we honored the price of 25 per person for you since it was listed someplace at that price. We promptly refunded you your money to your card unfortunately as I supplied you with documentation and explained to you, you are factually incorrect on how visa and MasterCard clear refunds.
They wait for the initial charge to completely clear and then they release your funds back to your account or release the refund back to your credit card. Transactions on a weekend are held till Monday before they begin to process the charge. Just FYI I and any other vendor do not see money from your credit card purchase until Wednesday for a transaction placed on Saturday or Sunday for this reason
I wish they cleared refunds faster but thats what we both agree to when we agree to do charges through a credit card

We visited the winery in the way back home to Pa with a Groupon offer. What a pleasant surprise. Owner was wonderful and very knowledgeable. Wine was tasty and what a deal it was. My only suggestion would be to have more sweet wines to taste. But they all were very good and the atmosphere was pleasant.

Went here on 2 different occasions for wine tastings....The lady,,,was wonderful..very knowledgeable and generous in her tastings...

We had a Groupon for this winery which included a tour, glasses, tasting, and a bottle of wine. It was an excellent deal for sure. The owner is very personable and gives a nice tour of their vineyard and business. The tasting is fun as well. From the road it looks very unassuming - just a house - but their facilities in the basement are very nice. This is along RT83 and I'd recommend a stop if you're in the area.

This cute little local vineyard packs the punch with amazing award winning wines. Check out their events and enjoy a glass or two. The owners are a joy to get to know. Try a paint night for fun. Never a disappointment.

There are several things that set Royal Rabbit apart from other Maryland vineyards. The first is their excellent wine. In my opinion, they are the absolute best wines produced in Maryland.
The second is their size.This is not a glitzy venue.It is a comfortable and personable venue, with knowledgeable staff able and willing to share their love of wine with you.
The tasting room at Royal Rabbit is the Lower Level of the owner's home.I love that the host pourer comes to your table rather than having to stand at a counter for tasting.
Roy Albin, the owner, is a personable and experienced vintner. It's worth the trip just to meet him. Terry, a pourer at the vineyard, is wonderfully pleasant and very knowledgeable. Either Roy or Terry is always present to answer any questions and share a wealth of information. They both love what they do and it is evident.

Stopped here on our way back to PA from a convention north of Baltimore. We loved the name. Who doesn't like rabbits? The hostess ran a great tasting, taking time to explain the estate, the grapes, and even east coast viniculture in general. She was very well informed, and this winery would do well to keep her on as long as she is able to stay! Great wines and a pleasant environment. If you're thinking about stopping in, then stop thinking about it and just go. You won't be sorry.
