My dad took us somewhere interesting every Saturday when we were kids. This train station was one of our stops. Now it’s a museum and a party venue. It was locked up when we got there, but we could look in the window at the restored interior with its rows of benches and ticket counter as well as railroad memorabelia.

南北時代からの鉄道に関する展示をおこなっているので駅を利用しながら見学できます。 展示品は非常にすくないのでついでによる感じで十分でしょう。スタッフはしんせつでした。

The Baltimore and Ohio Railroad Station is an old Silver Spring train station and is no longer in use. Among the new and tall glass building in the area, the county and the city is making this station as an historic attraction of the city. Currently, it is in need of repair and restore to attract visitors. If you are in the area to shop or to do some errands, stop by to take photos. It may not worth the time to schedule a visit to this place alone.

This is a fine museum with a great railroad heritage, as it is located in an antique railroad blockhouse/turntable. In addition to full size antique train engines (some dating back to the Civil War and earlier) there is a section of track that enables attendees to actually experience a taste of old time railroad travel. The exhibits are very impressive and the staff are knowledgeable and quite friendly. Easy parking on the premises. Highly recommended!!

We rented this place for a rehearsal dinner. It was clean, we were let in on time, and it was so nostalgic. John was very willing to give us more info on the history of the building. Nice venue for the price, lots of flexibility in how you use it.

They are only open on the first Saturday of the month but they do have some fun programs and the trains roar by while you are there. A very nice model train set up too. You can rent out the station for private functions.

Well-preserved, the B&O RR Station is still operative, linking the north and south through the heart of Silver Spring. Nicely restored and maintained, it brings to life a forgotten era when the railroad station a central gathering spot for a town or city. The waiting room is in good shape with the restored ticket window surrounded by comfortable chairs. The one ugly feature is the chain link fence that forms a protective barrier across the entire platform except for a small opening for passengers.
