A small but well-planned and informative museum full of local history. There are often volunteers present who add the personal touch to the information on the signs.

This "boutique" museum is a gem. Opened in the last year, after a complete renovation, lovingly restored, and staffed completely by volunteers. Take advantage of the historical society's tours and book signings by Sally Cabot Gunning.

This small but well curated museum tells the story of Cape cod and its artists, artisans, sea captains. From early settlers to todays scene, a great introduction to the Cape

Mudflat Mania is a fantastic opportunity to take your kids to explore the Brewster Flats at low tide. I would recommend that children be at least 3 years old or so, adventurous and good walkers that love the water. The volunteer guides for the event are super friendly and knowledgeable. The museum sells buckets, nets and everything else you might need for the experience, all at reasonable prices. Don't forget to bring some water (which they also sell) and sunblock!

The Museum has just moved to its new quarters on Lower County Road--The Captain Elijah Cobb House, 739 Lower Road, Brewster. The house has been lovingly restored and contains an interesting exhibit about the history of Brewster.

Enjoying a Cape Cod vacation and so good to learn more about the people who influenced the formation of this magnificent slice of America. A well preserved facility with bits and pieces of memorabilia. The $5 offering is well worth it.

This is just a head's up to ignore the reviews that mention the beach. The museum has moved to 739 Lower Rd - it's gorgeous - a renovated circa 1799 sea captain's home - but there is no longer a town beach nearby and no beach access.

This former sea captains home was massively renovated/converted recently into the Brewster Historical Society's headquarters and museum. We were invited to one of the grand opening parties that was just a week or so ago! Make sure you don't go to the old address on Main Street.
Definitely worth the visit and exciting to see what can be done when a group of dedicated volunteers get behind a cause!

We visited the museum inside this summer and enjoyed the museum. This time we walked the trails. The trails are very easy. There were some stairs near the end of our walk however, nothing strenuous.

Bring a few towels, sunblock, camera, and snacks/lunch!
Wish we knew there was a sandbar and the place to party! Watch the tides. At low tide there are tons of people swimming, rafting and floating around on noodles. People were all lined up with tents and just teh place to be! Stunning! and Sunset is fabulous here
