We ate at the pier twice over the weekend. Best lobster bisque and fish!! Planning to go back when we visit again next year. Perfect place to watch seals and to see fisherman come in with their catch. Love it!!

Excellant meal of lobstah roll with the best fries and cole slaw! Well worth the price charged. Fresh roll was stuffed with meat and buttery! Staff very friendly and accommodating. Waited about 20 minutes for an order for one person, but it was worth the wait. You can walk around, view the incoming boats, smell the salt air and relax on one of the rocking chairs outside. Only downside...minimal parking especially in season.

Staff at our inn told us to go to the pier to see seals if we weren’t going out for a seal watching cruise. While there we saw the menu for prepared seafood and fish available for eating there at picnic tables, or for takeout, so we went back for dinner one night. Really fresh of course, nothing fancy, but well-prepared. And we did see lots of seals both times.

Have been several times over the years. Place is somewhat inconsistent. Clam chowder is great. $35 lobster roll should rock your world. Will try new place next time.

Fantastic place to visit and the fish can't be beat! It's so fresh because it's coming right off the boat - you can even see it coming in. A real treat.

This should be the #1 attraction in Chatham! We were there about 2:00 pm on a cloudy Monday, just as a fishing boat pulled in to unload its day's catch of dogfish, flounder, and lobsters. It's the wholesale fish market where the boatmen sell their catch.
The seals and gulls hang around hoping for a dropped morsel. One of the seals very aggressively jumped on the edge of the boat as it pulled in and snagged a fish! We enjoyed watching the boatmen unload their boat and all the commercial activity. The town has done a great job of making it accessible to the public without being in the way of the work.
The attached photo shows the fishermen we watched unload their boat after they were done - in the picture they're preparing their nets for the next day.

We have visited here annually and by far this was the least exciting/memorable of all our visits. The overcast skies and only one boat unloading skate and dogfish did not make for anything special this time around.

In 15 giorni di viaggio negli USA abbiamo mangiato bene 2, una delle due è al Fish Market di Chatam, a parte la bellezza di vedere attraccare i pescherecci e i leoni marini in attesa di ricevere qualche pesce dai pescatori, il chiosco offre aragoste fantastiche, loabster roll e altro, tutto molto fresco. Il prezzo è adeguato alla qualità, esperienza ottima, si ordina e nel mentre si ammirano i leoni marini.

The pier is fun to watch the fisherman unload and watch the seals get scraps they throw over from their boats below the pier. We wished we could fish here from the Pier but understandable. Limited parking and I read 12-3 pm is a good time to see the boats come in. The attendant was friendly and answered some questions. We did not eat at the market but there was a menu posted. Was fun to take photos, etc. Good for kids to witness the fisherman, fish on the boats unloading, and seals there from above on the pier.
