Fantastic library and librarians

The main library in Chelmsford is one of the best benefits of living in this community. The staff is always helpful and enjoys exchanging ideas on books and authors with the clients. Erin is especially helpful in recommending series of books to try out.

Chelmsford's Treasure Trove

Not sure what I would do without our Chelmsford Public Library. While years ago I spent gobs of money at Barnes & Noble for hardcover books - a light bulb finally went off and I now find 95% of my book at CPL. The children's room is awesome and the kid's programs are as well; nice variety of museum passes and the staff are the BEST!

The library can always get the book you are looking for. The kids room is so friendly and well equipped. I am there all the time either for myself or my grand children.

Excellent public library

This is an excellent public library with large selection of books, including non-English language books, and media. Excellent weekly and monthly programs and exhibitions for everyone. When visiting, my grand-children love the children section with books, activities, and media.

I visit at least once a week.

I take out books, cds and dvds. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable..People who are not Chelmsford residents receive the same service, although they may not borrow items.

Meeting place for condo residents

Chelmsford public library has a nice meeting room for this type of event. It is quiet and spacious. The library itself is large, with many sections for finding what you need. The staff are friendly and helpful.

A library not to be taken for granted!

Funny how you can take a library for granted. Been a library fan for most of my life and just have to rave about the Chelmsford Library. Library director Becky Herrmann leads an amazing staff (and a wonderful evening book group) and offers up numerous programs for eager participants. Was not surprised to learn that many libraries have looked to this library for examples for their own programs. Great, in-depth reference section and website. Love this place and wish every community had a library of this caliber.
