Great views and interesting area not like your regular beach very quite , great place to enjoy family time

There is something melancholy about Cape Cod beaches when winter comes. There is somewhat of a ghost of the summer's activity. Rope Beach is no exception. It is a tidy little beach reserved for the locals with a good boat launch. Now it is quiet and cloaked in a winter sky which is another kind of beauty. It was just nice to sit there for a few minutes and enjoy the silence, and muse over its peak show. Beaches are great no matter what season.

Small public beach. Water not so desire able. With a boat launch and boats moared just a few lengths out, it begs for a rainbow shimmer of oil on water. Beach is clean from locals policing the garbage themselves. When asked a smoker quickly extinguished a lit smoke on this smoke free space. Maybe a dozen paved parking spots and many street parking spots. YOU MUST HAVE A PERMIT!
Good beach to not be crowded and get some sun while kids play in the sun. Keep water activities to kayak, paddle board, etc.

Calling it a beach is a bit misleading: it's hard to imagine anyone wanting to pitch a beach chair & umbrella to sit or swim. But it's a great place from which to put in (kayak, sail boat, etc.) for a boat ride to the nearby Sampsons Island bird sanctuary managed by the Audubon Society or to wander among the hundreds of boats moored in the harbor, or to gawk at the over-the-top luxury mansions along the shore nearby. Our Audubon Society kayak trip put in here, and we had a delightful paddle out to Sampsons. The hundreds of moored boats were postcard or jigsaw perfect as a scene; we got to see plovers and horseshoe crabs. A magnificent morning adventure.
