We went to see our granddaughter sing a song. To our surprise we saw about 25 local talents take the stage to perform . . . Incredible vocal performances! The evening was close to 3 hrs with a nonstop barrage of mixed genres performances. Tickets were inexpensive and there were complimentary snacks during intermission. There was also a 50/ 50 raffle drawn. I can’t emphasize enough the importance of supporting Eventide Theatre as they perform during the current summer.
It was a real enjoyable night out.

I was reading the weekly Cape Codder's theatre section and saw a review for the play "Over the River and Through the Woods." It was on the Gertrude Lawrence Stage and presented by The Eventide Theatre Co. Never heard of it so I looked it up and found out it is in Dennis Village behind the Dennis Union Church (on the corner of Old Bass River Rd. and 6A). What a great little venue; the play was delightful & the actors superb. And admission was so very reasonable. I'd never heard of this theatre company and didn't expect much; what a pleasant surprise! It seems that the next play isn't until March of 2019 but I have already marked my calendar.

All of the shows are well-produced. It's a wonderful local theater to support, often with Equity actors.

My wife and I went to see Dancing at Lughnasa a play by Brian Friel that was performed at the Eventide Theatre in Dennis MA. We had heard about this theatre ever since we had moved to the Cape a few years ago however this was the first performance we had been able to attend. Rest assured it won't be our last.
The play was well acted by a group of very talented players who obviously loved their craft and the play itself.
The set was minimal but impacting and contributed significantly the feeling of despair (and hope) that hung over the family portrayed.
Following the performance there was a Talk Back where the audience asked the cast and director about the play, the characters and themselves. This can be a very beneficial way to learn more about the play.
The Theatre Company seems to have a great list of planned performances and we look forward to coming back on a regular basis to see them.
Great acting, comfortable seating, reasonable ticket prices all add up to a great experience.
