A lovely mile long beach that's mostly peopled by locals. A private parking lot at the Gloucester side has showers. It's a wonderful white sand beach but it's narrow, so plan your trip when the tide is lower.

Long Beach has been a beach colony area for many years. Many folks return to stay there year after year. Going off to sleep to the sound of the ocean is a wonderful relaxing thing. Reserve your spot early!

Quaint Beach with soft warm sand with a view of the twin lights right off the shore! Great place for families and solos!

What it is -- run of the mill NE beach with lots of kiddies running around. Run out of real estate at high tide. Soft bottom and clean -- good for beginner surfers when a wipeout is in order. Free parking if timed right. Unusual locals.
What it isn't -- a secret, nor is it a gem. Motel tries to be a resort. It's a motel, yup, a motel.
Low tide/off season and I may take another look.

Gloucester is my place of choice for a day at the beach for sure. We went 6/19/20 packed night before prepared to leave early because of parking. Day before read on good harbor fb page with regards to non residential parking said it was OK their were spots available. We left 8am got to good harbor roughly 9am traffic backed up to where market, liquor store located not sure of street name. Sat in traffic about half an hour before arriving at Boothe to good harbor was told residential only that no non residents at all could get in. I complained to the guy, and explained how on your fb page said there is non residential parking. So not sure about now but like everyone says get there early. Luckily enough we knew Long Beach was right up the street. A little bit of traffic going into lot able to get in no problem paid $20.00 bucks, and had a beautiful beach day. Very nice beach, and great for family, for children. Stayed all day got some r and r, along with some vitamin D!! Should update daily on fb or some social media platform to explain parking situation for non residents.

This is a small clean, beach. Lots of kids and families. Not too noisy. Parking can be tricky and a bit pricey. We arrived after 2pm and paid $15 for Spot which included outdoor shower, rest room, drink vending machine, and ATM. Has small surf good for kids. Enjoyed a few peaceful hours here.

$30 parking for a crowded, unsightly beach. Do you self a favor and arrive earlier so you can get into Good Harbour beach. Homes are right on the beach, and the Inn claims prime space as private property.

This is a nice beach area just north of Good Harbor Beach, on the Gloucester-Rockport border. As at all beaches in the area, parking can be a real challenge (and expensive), unless you get there very early. There is a small amount of on street parking on the Gloucester side--we did not drive to the Rockport side, but supposedly there is a lot there. We were ok, as we were staying at the motel at the south end of the beach. We visited during the off season (early May) but had the luck to get a very warm two days. There was some damage, especially to the steps leading down from the seawall to the beach, from winder storms. The beach itself is nice but narrow in spots, and parts of it are underwater to the seawall at high tide, so be careful if you take a walk. It is mostly white sand with some rocky spots and some nice shells and was calm the days we were there. Note that, during the off season, the beach is dog-friendly, so we saw quite a few dogs on our visit. It's not a great place to watch the sunset as it faces east but is a good place for a sunrise--there's a great view of Thacher Island and the twin lighthouses.

We ended up here when Good Harbor was full and found a parking lot with bathroom, shower, picnic tables and an atm. The lobster at Saltys was great. Ice cream vendor too. There’s a guy renting boogie boards, kayaks and boards. Small waves for kids.

Great for kids. Parking less than GH but too expensive. Due to storms last winter, they lost a lot of beach and sort of rocky this year. Good alternative to GH.
