This single-screen cinema is a classic, with modern seating and a staff that is pleasant and accomodating. Seating in the balcony adds an interesting twist. Recently when we visited, they were having trouble with the heating system. Though the temperature was still quite comfortable, the staff offered the use of blankets and free hot beverages to get rid of the chill. They also run an eclectic selection of films.

Still enjoy this treasure of a movie theater! They have upgraded the chairs so they are comfortable and spacious. The picture and sound quality has also been improved. Just charming!

Love that it is so close to my sister’s house and the parking is always good. The toilets are clean.
I love that they show quirky films on their single screen and that folks who work there are so nice.
It seems that the seats have gotten more comfortable over the years.
No visit to Hingham is complete without a trip to the Loring.

This is a throw-back to single screen movie theater from back in the day but with a degree of modernization.
This space with it's high ceiling is airy and light. Seats are comfy and rows are well spaced. Popcorn is freshly popped! Movies shown are not always the run of the mill gendre like the big box theaters but are popular abd carefully chosen to appeal to the masses.
Although a bit of a drive away for me, I absolutley love this beautiful theater!

Great old theater, with up to date technology. Wonderful asset to our town, Hingham that always shows current, top films. Get the butter on the popcorn!

I've been to Loring Hall to see a few different movies. They always select such good films to feature, and they offer unbeatable prices for admission and concessions! The staff has been extremely friendly and polite each time I've gone, and the theater itself is in a lovely old historical building. See if you can get onto the balcony if you go! Great views!

One of my favorite places to see a movie, Loring Hall is a true neighborhood gem. A blast from the past, this one-screen theatre tends to feature more critically-acclaimed movies rather than box office blockbusters. You'll find almost all the Oscar-nominated movies shown here. Right in the heart of downtown historic Hingham Square, its an easy walk from dinner or post-movie drinks at the Square Cafe or The Snug.

Born in Hingham this is a place that I went when I was a child and still enjoy visiting. We always liked sitting in the balcony although the seats on the floor have more leg room. We keep coming back and check what is playing often.

The Loring is a cool old style theatre. Movies and comedy shows, are the only thing I have been in the audience for here. Classic movie theatre seating. Lower and balcony seating. I have a harder hearing the movie sound in the balcony, but for comedy show it is fine. They offer a great variety of movie selections that are not your main box office headliners. Prices are very reasonable and Tuesdays are $5 movie night - same movies just bargain pricing.

Loring Hall movie theater is like taking a trip back in time,which in this case is a good thing. Unlike other cinemas in the Patriot Group,this does not have stadium seating,but what it does have is lots of charm. Also,as with others in this group it has $5 Bargain Tuesday for all shows & all times on that day. A nice cheap day out!
