This is a nice farm located in Ipswich. It has a collection of farm animals, grows excellent produce, and makes and sells fine cider donuts and cider. On a nice Fall day, this is a very good, no fee option.

Stopped by for some fruit and got great apples and peaches. Baked goods did not live up to reputation, however.

Driving to the beach we stumbled upon Russell Orchards. Best hidden gem to explore on a pretty fall, spring and summer day. We enjoyed interacting with the all the cute animals. The wine tasting hostess was an absolute doll. She was informative and friendly. The hardest thing about those days was picking just a few bottles of wine. Can't wait to visit this summer. Guaranteed great time!

Beautiful and they have social distance practices down. The leaves are just starting to turn and it was a Beautiful day! Everyone there was gracious and helpful to answer any questions we had.

This place used to be my favorite place for the past 5 years. The employees used to be pleasant and respectful. I've never been so disrespected and bullied by an employee over a line before. The employee got into my face and told me to get out of the line and called me liar in front of 50 other patrons waiting in line. She was the nastied person I've ever incontered. If I could put zero stars I would. The apple picking this year was pathetic and Sectioned off the employees swarm you like your a theif. And the line for donuts was easily over 50 people and the wait over 1 hour for a donut. I have worked in customer service sales and marketing for over 10 years in health care serving poor/rich older population. I work 12 hour days. I would never dare to treat anyone this way. I called the place and Manager, they basically won't do anything about this employee because I didn't get her name. Don't waste your time on crappy apples and rude people.

Wir wollten eine Applefarm besuchen und Äpfel kaufen, auf dieser Farm gibt es aber so viel mehr zu entdecken!
Der Hofladen ist groß und hat viele verschiedene Produkte im Angebot, richtig lecker ist auch das Eis, was es in riesigen Kugeln gibt.
Draußen standen alte Traktoren und im Herbst gab es viele Kürbisse zum Fotos machen.
Die Auswahl an Apfelsorten ist groß und es macht Spaß sich selbst welche zu pflücken.
Wir hatten einen tollen Nachmittag auf der Farm:)

For an event we were hosting, we ordered cider and donuts. They're the BEST and our guests went away very happy.

Russell Orchards is one of our hometown favorites. It is everything you expect of an apple orchard, and so much more. The smell of fresh baked apple cider donuts will draw you into the store - where you will be met with all kinds of fresh baked goods and artisan treats - like homemade fudge and an assortment of pies.
Your first stop should be the apple cider donut line. Even if it's busy, it's worth the wait.
You then can roam around and see all the fresh dairy products, candies, pies, and even craft pieces you can buy to decorate your home with. My last stop (some say it should be first!) is the fruit wine "tasting" room. Russell Orchards makes a wide variety of fruit wines onsite - and often has wine-tastings and specials on some flavors. My favoriite is the Blueberry-Apple blend - with a clean fruity flavor and little touch of sweetness.
The tour doesn't stop there by any means. There's gourdes, pumpkin, apple picking, guided tours, and even farm animals for the whole family to enjoy!

Stopped by the visitor center and the woman there told us to go to Russell orchards to get donuts. There was so much more in the farm market. Baked goods, cider, wine and other veggies and fruits. It was decorated for fall with pumpkins and such. Fun stop and the donuts were great. We also bought pumpkin spice wine to try.

We stop at Russell Farms each time we are in the Ipswich area. We have not traveled with children, but have seen lots of families enjoying the wagon ride to pick apples as well as seeing the various animals and picking out pumpkins to take home. Plenty of parking and people to help you find a space. Their fresh apple cider donuts are a must! They have a nice selection of apples for purchase, gifts and their own wines. They have lots of porta-potties, something I didn't expect at an orchard but which is especially helpful for families with small children. Definitely a fun fall activity.
