We were a group of 7 golfers who played Greenock for the first time recently. It's a very enjoyable 9 hole course so we went around twice. In spite of very wet conditions in this part of MA, this course was in great shape, nice greens and fairways well groomed. The staff was welcoming and knowledgeable all adding to our great round at Greenock. A local gem worth a try.

It was a shame our golf outing was ruined by the rudeness of the players behind us.
This is a lovely , well maintained course with some challenging holes Many people choose to walk it though there are a number of uphills In fact many of the greens have quite steep uphills . If you take a cart you have to leave it and walk to the green
Fairways are fairly narrow and some of the tee boxes are a little confusing. (Especially 6 and 9)
As there are dog legs on some holes there is a bell to ring when you reach the green. The rude players behind us ignored the fact we hadn’t rung the bell yet and hit right up to us They then yelled profanities that we were playing too slowly ( we were a foursome and playing in regulation time)
We were out to enjoy ourselves and if people are in such a hurry they should play far earlier or later when less crowded

I stopped at a holiday party at Greenock and enjoyed the menu and atmosphere. The roast beef was the best I have had in ages but the whole menu and friendly atmosphere was great. In the summer the restaurant is shared by the golfers but over the winter it is just a nice spot for dinner

Greenock Country Club has an outstanding restaurant called Fiddleheads. The food is freshly made and delicious! It is one of my go to places on a regular bases. It' cozy, friendly, very reasonably priced and has a menu to please everyone. Try it- you'll like it!!! P.S. Extremely accomadating for large parties also.

Stopped here on the way to Tanglewood.
The course was very accomadating and got us out on a Saturday morning just before they club championship went off.
We really enjoyed this course and found it to be a fun layout to play. The course was quiet when we started and the first few holes were very peaceful. Things got a little busy on the last couple holes as there were alot of people on the course. There are a couple of tees and fairways that are close to each other.
Really liked the 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th holes. The par 3 7th was a pretty hole too.
We only had time for 9 but would love to return and do it again. We did each lunch in the clubhouse after the round and the food and service were great.

Nicely maintained 9 hole public course. Pretty views and a terrific clubhouse restaurant.....we go for the food and nice people!

Thinking of having a birthday party lunch with around 30 / 35 guests. Would we be smart to have individual plates or trays to choose from? Following the lunch as an example having a open house with cookies, tea and coffee for besides family other
town folks could come and with this person a Happy Birthday.
