Moseley Woods Park is along the banks of the Merrimack River.
The park has hiking trails, picnic tables, a playground, and a kid-sized athletic field.
As I came in the driveway, there was a game of youth touch football was going on at the grassy area near the street. And, a high-energy dog was running around the edges of the area which was enclosed by large boulders.
Further long the L-shaped roadway, there were several parking areas.
There was a playground toward the back.
Near the playground was where the 1.0 mile loop trail I trekked was located. The area was very much open. There were a lot of trees that well separated from each other.
There was a fairly steep slope going down to the river. There was a picnic table down there.
Light in the woods was very poor, so I didn’t take many photos.
Overall, it was a nice park. I rate it at 4.50 and can recommend a visit.

This place is a dog lover’s dream…a wooded park where dogs are permitted off-leash. That said, if you’re looking for a quiet walk in nature, this isn’t your best choice.
The pups have worn down much of the undergrowth, can be noisy with dogs barking on sunny weekends, and the tree roots can make parts of the trails tricky to navigate for older folks.
There is a really nice playground for children that seems very popular, and a porta-potty in the warmer ,o this.

Nice place to walk with dogs. Plenty of parking and a toilets by the car park.
A lot of paths through the woods. A bit hilly/steep and uneven in many places.
Saw a few birds but heard a lot more. Some big trees and waterside paths along the river.

Great spot to start our day with a brisk walk. Clean and scenic location with ample parking. Many dog walkers here in the morning.

This easily accessible park, a woodland on the shores of the Merrimack River in Newburyport, affords several miles of trails and spectacular views of the river that you cannot get anywhere else. It is also a rare opportunity to behold I-95's John Greenleaf Whittier bridge, a network tied arch design, as a work of art. There is well-marked parking, and the park is clearly no secret to locals, who appear to use it avidly. That said, there are sitting benches and picnic benches well-placed throughout, and plenty of quiet, private spots to gaze at the river, or "bathe" in the splendid woods. You will, of course, hear the interstate traffic as you get close to that edge of the park, but one hears that sort of noise all the time in the modern world, only without the beauty, so enjoy the unique juxtapose.
