This was a great spot right by the Marriott newton. We paid $20 I think for a double kayak for over an hour. The boys had a blast and found a rope swing which they jumped off and played ! He staff was super friendly and kind.
Thank you for the great inexpensive fun and outdoor experience. It was the boys favorite part of the trip. There were some nice chairs in the shade for parents to sit under the vines to relax while we waited.

We had a lovely paddle up and down the Charles river on a rare sunny day this Spring. The water was cold and clear. Very enjoyable. Remember to go upstream on the way out so it will be easier paddling going home downstream. We saw turtles white herons snd a great blue heron during the paddle. Not too many human dwellings to spoil the sights. We started at the site near the Newtom Marriott.

I used it for number of years, everything works as described.

We got our seasonal membership last year and planning to get it for this year as well. It is nice and calm place to kayak and specially if you go upstream, you are surrounded by nature and barely see any building, feels like you are out of Boston.

Went with two teenagers, a toddler, wife and I. Ended up with a two-person kayak for the teens, and a three-person canoe for the rest. Would help to get there earlier in the day. There’s not a lot of parking, and many bring their own kayaks / canoes, since it’s a public dock. Signed in, and were in the water in probably 10 minutes. Pretty efficient. Nice trip down the Charles. People are able to go in both directions from the dock, so it’s not overly crowded in the river. Was a nice thing to do with family. Will likely purchase a season pass for 2019.

At least once a year my wife and I head down to the Charles river for a kayak ride. The people are extremely helpful and the boats are in perfect condition. It's great for the kids too. Great way to clear the cobwebs out of your head and get some vitamin D.

Great place to kayak, good equipment. Staff is very conscientious and friendly, but they could use some help organizing the check in process to make it more efficient.

This was a fun excursion with our teenagers. Neat way to see the city. The water was very manageable. The both are good and it was easy.

Charles River Kayak rental is a very fun place to go to spend a few hours on the water. The staff is friendly and helpful, rates are reasonable and you get some fantastic views from the kayak.
Went with a few friends on a sunny Sunday Afternoon and it was excellent. Would recommend.
