Quiet and peaceful place to walk. Nice ponds and a small stream. Intersection old monuments and graves. Good in all seasons.

This is a peaceful place with beautiful trees amidst the graves. There are some interesting old graves and it is a good place for restful walk.

The Newton Cemetery is a beautiful place for a walk or visit any time/season of the year. The landscaping, trees, diverse types of monuments, and peacefulness make for an interesting, brisk, solemn walk any time. There are quite a few old gravesites and interesting monuments, some relief, and nice paths to walk along. For young and old, there are interesting things to discover here. A number of Newton's former leaders are buried here making it a nice place to learn a bit more about Newton's history.

The cemetery is very well groomed and is a very peaceful place to visit to relax.There is a wonderful pond with ducks and turtles.

Most places on TripAdvisor that offer accommodation need to be reviewed by those who have stayed there. Unfortunately , there was no time (or it was not the time) for me to stay , and although I thought of digging deep and getting information from the residents, I couldn’t find anyone who would talk to me.
Anyway, Newton is a great city, and for particularly long term stays, this is a good bet, and I understand that no one has complained despite small rooms

A wonderful garden cemetery, with ponds, etc., similar to the famous Mt. Auburn Cemetery in Cambridge, MA.

Great For walkers. Beautifully laid out ....lots of flowers plants walking trails never many people. Mostly flat with some small inclines

I spend a great deal of time here - I love watching the wildlife and they have a ton of it here (at least used to) - birds, bunnies, ect... (they have a yellow hawk and a blue heron that spend ALOT of time there). With that being said I can vouch for the maintenance staff there - THEY ARE GREAT !!!! - VERY meticulous in their work from digging the grave, "closing" the grave, maintaining the grounds, leaves, snow ect.- landscaping, even to paving the roads (altho there are a couple that sill need work) - strange to say but I love going there

Newton Cemetery is an arboretum in the middle of Newton. It is a very peaceful place for a walk. It is also a welcoming cemetery.
