Quite a lot of fun! Guides were knowledgeable and entertaining! It is quite a bit of walking up and Down hill.

I went on this tour Sat eve Set 13. I have never seen a business as unprofessional as this one. The owner acted more like a two year old then a grown woman. There was another company doing a tour also and every now and then we crossed paths. The owner of Colonial wound run or jump ahead of this other company like a mindless child, making stupid remarks and making stupid faces. The town of Plymouth needs to take a better look at the business that is in their town. Colonial Lantern Tours(Owner) makes the town of Plymouth look bad. This is one business that should be closed down

This was a great tour for adults and kids. We took our 14 year old and a 10 year old. The kids where freezing but, really enjoyed all the stories about the burial ground and the alley ways. I will actually go back in the spring time when it is not to cold, too enjoy the great view of plymouth harbor.

We are Plymouth residents and decided to do this on a chilly November night with our out of town guests. We chose to do the haunted ghost tour. Amongst our party were a 7 and 9 year old and they did fine. Not to scary for them and a lot of cool info. Whether its true or not-we had fun with it!! Definitely try to go off season-WAY less crowded. It was just our six and another family of 4, so everyone could see and hear, not to mention I found a Living Social deal for it also.

I have been on several haunted tours, and this was by far the worst. My family and I purchased tickets for the Boston tour (not Plymouth). There was no introduction; the guide just started talking and caught many of us off guard. With the road noise, he was barely audible. When we could hear him, his thoughts were very disconnected and seemingly off-the-cuff. For some reason, he frequently made references to other cities unrelated to Boston.

We decided to take a walking tour of Plymouth on our first night in town and it was well worth it. In fact we were lucky enough to be the only family in the group so we basically had a private tour with Barry. The Ghost tour 30 mins later was packed, probably 30+ people so we were glad we did the history tour. We spent 2 hours walking around the old colony and talking about history. We had our boys with us, ages 10 and 11. Barry knows a lot about history and the early settlers and he tailored some of his stories for the boys and made sure they were enjoying the tour. We all learned a lot and were glad we attended. I would call for reservations even in the off season.

Evening Tour that started at 700p on a beautiful Saturday Night that took us through different sights around Plymouth. Lasted around 1 1/2 hrs. There were 8 in our group so it was easy to hear the tour guide. Walk was at a slow place and you were able to ask questions throughout the night. Tour Guide was knowledgeable and loved what he was doing!

I had a wonderful time on the Ghosts and History tour a few years back in Plymouth. I'm a local but wanted to do something fun so my brother and I went on this tour. The guide was friendly and knowledgable without any bit of "hokeyness" to them. The tour was wonderful and I really enjoyed the history lesson as well.
I went on the other "ghost tour" last night and found it to be overdramatic and hokey. It was completely overdone and that was really not necessary as the stories are spooky enough on their own. I'd recommend this one over the "hearse" one!

Like a lot of tours, your experience depends almost completely on your tour guide. I have been on this one twice. The first guide was exceptional and we loved it, as did everyone in our group. Went back again with out-of-town visitors and it was kind of a drag. Guide did not seem too enthused about Plymouth. The lanterns add an element of fun and spookiness - kids enjoy it if it doesn't take too long. Some stairs and hills but in most cases there are workarounds if you can't make the climb.
