This is a nice gallery featuring interesting and provocative works. The art can be hit or miss, but the space is nice, and so too are the gallery owners.

Love stopping by the Iartcolony Gallery to see the different exhibits and visit with Jill and Bob. The diversity in their collections is always fun and brings such a different view of art to this area. Always a pleasure spending time here - and always worth the stop to see what's new and exciting.

On my most recent trip to Rockport (ostensibly for the superb chamber music series), I was delighted to come across a superb small art gallery: "iartcolony." The two affable owners -- a young husband and wife team -- curate beautiful exhibitions full of appealing and also challenging art, made by artists not only from New England but across the country. The owners/curators explain the art well, and can make comprehensible the more provocative pieces, those that really get under your skin and make you think harder. For the sheer quality of the pieces for sale -- which range from paintings to video to prints and small sculpture -- I'd very much recommend stopping by this gallery.
