Attended a wedding reception here. The space was nice, the room set up well for a bar area and buffet with space for generous table sitting. Right outside the door was a patio area to have a private moment with beautiful views of the golf course and mount Brighton.

Some holes of the front nine traverse the ski slopes of a small mountain. It is a steep and long ride up to the 1st tee and a steep ride back down to the 9th green. The front nine has some really neat holes…with great views. However, the back nine does not have hills like the front nine. Overall, it was a good value.

Challenging course but it forces you to improve your skills. Lots of fun! Plus it is beautiful and makes you feel like you are out in the wilderness or on vacation.
Be sure to check out Ore Creek Mountain Grill for food and a cold beer. Great food and friendly staff!

Played in an Outing so the pace was slow. The course runs up and down the ski hills and through the neighboring forest. Lots of water and traps, but the traps did not come into play much for our group. While the greens were in great shape, the tees were not - each one was in rough shape.

Thanks to reviews on Trip Advisor, I chose Mt. Brighton for a recent quick 9 holes with my teenage son. My experience with Mt. Brighton is more in the winter through their ski program and this was my first time golfing there. I consider myself to be an intermediate/experienced golfer and my son is an intermediate. First, I would say the course is pretty neat if you know what to expect. You should realize this course winds around, through and on the ski hills of Mt. Brighton which allow some very unique vistas and elevations which you really cant get at other local courses. That being said, I can see experienced golfers seeing this course as "gimmicky".
In my situation, I wanted to take my son to an "interesting" change of pace course and have some fun with hitting drives from different elevations. The course is hard in the sense that there is not much room for error..it it pretty much target golf without a lot of distance available so if you are a big hitter, you may have to put the driver away of find you will lose a lot of balls here. Definitely take extra balls to this course as the hazards are many and difficult to avoid, in that sense, it does not seem like a course that is all that fairly laid out and the underbrush is not cleared out so any errant shot if probably going to require a ball drop.
As far as scenery, there is a wooded back side to the course i didn't know existed. The ski equipment that sits on or sear some of the holes does not add to the scenery but it is interesting nonetheless. Greens were fast and in good condition.
All in all my son and I had a great time because we really liked the "up north" feel and the unique nature of the course. At times it almost feels like a cross between a resort course, a par three and a putt putt course.
For anyone less than intermediate, this course may just be frustrating. For those who want to feel like they are NOT on a typical suburban farmland golf course, I would recommend it at least once and go in with the right expectations. Golf snobs may not like it but those looking for an interesting change of pace and don't mind losing a couple balls in the process may find Mt. Brighton hits a hole in one.

I live in the area. When I heard an 18 hole golf course was going to be built around Mt. Brighton, I was skeptical. Gotta tell ya, it is very challenging as well as scenic and well kept. This is one course where you have to lay your ball well. Way to many places to get into trouble. Seriously, no matter how good you are, or how good you think you are (wink), take lots of balls. I'm pretty sure they will be needed. As many balls as I have lost there, I keep going back...I'm on a weekly league!

I attended a golf outing here and had a wonderful time. Michigan has a lot of great golf courses but many don't offer much challenge regarding elevation. Since Mt. Brighton is a ski resort in the winter, do you ever get elevation here! I have to admit winding through the lifts and snow machines is strange but aside from that it's a great course. There's a lot of challenge here which is always fun. The driving range shoots right up the ski slope which is unfortunate, however I'm not sure how to avoid this. I'm surprised they can get the grass in such great shape considering there are a few feet of packed snow on the greens and fairways in the winter. Overall it's a nice change of pace from your typical courses. I'll definitely be back here!

Hole #1 is at the top of a ski mountain. Great views, a variety of habitat and a very enjoyable golf experience overall. 60+ aged hitters that can't take it long? Use the gold tees to stay out of serious trouble. My favorite par 3 is #6. Enjoy some very interesting menu items afterwards in the Ore Creek Grill.

Played The Golf Club at Mt. Brighton today. A number of years ago I had played it when it was called The Jackal at Mt. Brighton. It is built around the Mt. Brighton ski slops and lifts. An 18-hole, par-71, 6702-yards from the longest tees. The has 4 sets of tees to play from. You start at the top of the mountain and play down. There is water and sand on the course. There is some carries over brush. Not for beginners.

Great coarse, love the ups and downs, and good for all types of golfers. Love the 18th island hole, will play this coarse again.
