Flint Symphony Orchestra plays seasonally at this fine concert venue. Many other class acts perform including singers, dancers etc. We went to the Christmas Pops concert in December and thoroughly enjoyed it and the wonderful solo sopranos.

We did not know that this place existed, but we are glad we found it. It is in one of the nicer areas of Flint. Viewed the Chinese show Cirque Mei and it was amazing.
There was an incident with a woman having a seizure and the staff handled it perfectly.
The venue was clean and the service was great. Valet is offered at $8.00, but you have to prepay so make sure you have cash before going in.
My guest ordered a Prosecco from the bar, but apparently it was supposed to be for another event. The bartender after being slightly berated proceeded to still open it and serve it to us after getting permission.
The only criticism I can say is that the stairs on the outside atrium by the men's room are falling apart and should be repaired or replaced. Or at least blocked from entry.
We will come back to The Whiting to experience other shows.

Took my daughter and granddaughter to see The Nutcracker. Had no trouble getting tickets even though we were in the upper balcony. It said limited view but we thoroughtly enjoyed the ballet and didn't have any trouble seeing the stage. The production was wonderful and my granddaughter wants to go again to the ballet. Now with Genessee countians getting a discount we will be going again. I suggest you have reservations.

The Whiting are available for rentals and can be used for a wide variety of events including dance recitals, music performances of all kinds, lectures, community theatre, corporate meetings, graduation ceremonies, receptions, and so much more.
The main auditorium is a professional grade 2,043 seat proscenium style theater.
The backstage area includes wardrobe, laundry, and six (6) dressing rooms with bathroom and shower facilities. A green room with mini kitchen is also available.

Did not check tickets. Many parents dis not get to see their kids graduate. Terrible seating as seats on upper levels are not juxtipo see ed so everyone can view the stage without learning way over.

Went to The Whiting for the first time this weekend. Not only was illusionist Mike Super fantastic, the venue is very, very nice. Easy access from the freeway and parking is free and plentiful. They even had valet parking for $7 for those who preferred. The Whiting is just the right size so that there really isn't a bad seat in the house. The seats are super comfortable, and staggered row to row so that no one blocks your view of the stage (well, except for the guy in front of me who for some reason thought it is okay to wear a baseball cap indoors so whenever he turned to talk to his companion I got a good view of a bill... but of course that's not The Whiting's fault. Do we actually need written rules about this type of thing?!) Will definitely be back and look forward to more shows at The Whiting.

We took our grandson to see this show at The Whiting. The show was delightful and he had so much fun; mesmerized is a more apt description. The theater is showing it's age but it is still a marvelous venue.

We shared a lovely evening with friends at The Whiting. The beverage and snack counter before the concert began provide a great way to await the show. There aren't any bad seats, especially for a musical event. The sound travels well throughout the theater. The caliber of entertainment booked here is stellar....Hot Sardines has some of the most talented performers I've ever enjoyed. In this case, we were able to interact with the musicians after the performance in the lower lobby...an elegant area where they were selling and signing CDs. Parking behind the theater is ample and easy, and we were very satisfied with the experience we received for the price.

Loved The Whiting growing up and saw many shows there. This is the 3rd show in less than a year we have been to that the sound quality is horrible. You can't make out what is being said about half the time. There are many updates they need to start working on including changing the seat arrangement. If you get someone taller in front of you a good portion of the stage is blocked from your view. I think we are about done coming here and will go other places to see shows. It's a real shame.

Hi there! Looking for seats, and we found zone 3 row A 209. is that a good seat for an orchestra show? my parents want to be able to see them play.

Not sure about the zone 3 (which level, but it appears that is the front row of whichever level, so it should be good. the box office is very good about placing you where you want) and there are volunteers that seat, and may an occasion place you in a better seat if you don't like the first and others are empty.
