So much love and care has gone into preserving the unique story of the Garden Peninsula. The building is old (of course! It's the original schoolhouse!) but so well maintained and the addition really kept true to the original design. When I was in there, a couple groups of tourists came in and asked about specific family names on the peninsula. The friendly local volunteers were ready with albums and boxes to help them research their family history. I really enjoyed the historic clothing and tools of the past.

Nice place to learn about Garden. The ladies are so nice & knowledgeable. The Local Heroes Board os a fun feature about a local resident. We live here so we stop in from time to time & always enjoy it.

A little museum that gives you a taste of the area in it's early days. Could easily pass by this but won't be sorry if you stop.
