Went to the Open House at LaTulip Pottery and Tile Works earlier today. We shopped, snacked, imbibed a little, and sampled some wonderful flavored infused oils & vinegars from Superior Oil and Vinegar. We purchased a few new pieces of pottery to add to our collection, and several bottles of oil and vinegar (which we can't wait to try)! What a great way to start the summer!

Off the beaten path, this talented artist creates art that can be used such as lovely clip on vases and little dishes designed to extract garlic juice to make garlic oil. I enjoy her pieces of art that I have in my home and am always putting to use.

We have shopped at La Tulip often. Marsha has a great selection of her pottery, as well as other arts and crafts such as jewelry, scarves, soaps, etc. She is very accommodating, even shipping lovely Christmas ornaments because she was out of stock on a few items the last time I was at the shop. I plan to buy som birthday gifts at the pottery this summer.

Stopped in on a rainy weekday, owner/artist was friendly and answered my many questions. (Our conversation was closely monitored for accuracy by Basie, the wonderful house Doodle.) Artist sells work at other shops, suggest checking out her work online and calling ahead to see what's available on site if interested in a specific piece.

We have a group of friends that go to the UP every year, we never miss a visit to this studio. 2016 she had a beautiful rust colored glaze that is my favorite. I Love her work. Excellent source of functional art in the UP;

We stumbled on this studio quite by accident, but are so glad we did! The pottery and wool products are all made in the adjoining workshop. It is truly beautiful! If I could have, I would have bought out the store. The artist has serious, serious talent. Her yard boasts several pieces as well. This is well worth the time to find and visit!

This was a pleasant surprise in an out of the way rural location, south of Garden on Hwy 183. Its on east side of road; watch for sign! ... Great gift selections; LaTulip does most all items herself in her on-site workshop. The building is modern; all on 1 floor for mobility-limited folks; plenty of on-site parking. With special arrangements, LaTulip will hold classes & participants can take home their creation -- like a tile; or whatever appropriate for the class. She did this for my group of 8 women.

We have bought so many of Marsha's pieces because they reflect the nature we see every day in the U.P. She has a great selection of bowls, cups, mugs, rasping plates (take garlic and rub and add oil for dipping) jewelry, and much more. It is fairly priced and great for gifts.
