Beautiful course. Very tight though. Greens were slower than I am use too. True reading though. Service was very slow. Pace of play was great

When granting a rain-check, allow guests that are part of a resort package the ability to receive a voucher for next year play. Unacceptable to award a 9 hole rain voucher that expires in mid October, when a group will not be returning in the same year/season.

Went golfing on May 21st with my wife and 3 children. We did not get there until 6 PM. We played 9 holes and my wife and I were charged full Summer pricing and no twilight prices either. When we got to the 8th and 9th greens the sprinklers were on and couldn't putt, and had to get our balls and get wet at the same time. Really like the course and have always enjoyed it, but will probably not come back after this.

We changed our mind when the weather forecast changed, and played "The Natural" on a beautiful afternoon when we had the course almost to ourselves.....we never say another golfer.
The course is very scenic...rolling, heavily wooded, with a big bog fronting 9 and 18 that looks like a moose should be wallowing in it. Condition was very good.
I thought the course was fairly difficult....I am a 9 handicap, and thought it was tight driving and very unforgiving if you missed into the woods that lined every fairway. The green complexes were interesting, there were a decent number of bunkers, and a few kind of blind shorts.....
Fun golf and worth playing....

Played this course and really enjoyed it. First time playing it. It was not a difficult course but a fun one. Beautiful scenery and a nice layout.

Played here Friday, May 31, 2019 as part of the Gaylord golf Mecca package. We were the first ones out at 7:30 so it was clear sailing. It is a very hilly track and still enjoyable but not in the best of shape. No bent grass fairways and plenty of trees and water and swamp carries so it is plenty challenging but I'm gonna put it in the average category.we playedBlack Lake which is one of the top courses in the state and it's hard to compare other courses to it. I would put Loon behind Black Lake , then Michawe pines as the flattest and Natural which is hilliest since the old Snow Valley ski area was here back in the 50's-'60s. Generally we have gone to treetops and that is flat out the best resort to golf in Gaylord but their prices have gone up. Well we can cross the natural off our list as having played it

You know you are in nature as the cart path cuts thru forested areas. Greens were very fast but tees and fairways in great shape. lots of bunkers. The 3 holes we were told we difficult were not that hard even for an average golfer. Lots of hills, elevation and a number of blind shots but fun to play. Nice course to play but was not fond of the 9.50 charge for 3 sodas that were out of a standard cooler next to check in.

We had a foursome tee off around noon. The course itself is very nice and well maintained. The sand bunkers, which I saw too much of, were a little hard packed, but good enough. The cons, I happened to forget my clubs and thankfully they had some to rent, unfortunately the clubs were in pretty poor shape and the five iron I didn't want to even use for fear it would break. The only other con was were told that there is no cart person on the course so we should stock up before we left. We did and it wasn't that much of an issue. The pros, the staff were awesome, the greens and fairways were well maintained and the course itself is very well done.

As of this writing, the Gaylord area has been subjected to a hot dry summer and as such, many of the golf courses are burned out. Not this one, it has been maintained and the fairways and greens were in great shape. The course is fair and fast. I think the greens were running at about 11 on the meter. Even the locals who live around the course were nice. I hit a blind shot over a hill and had a little trouble finding my ball and one of the homeowners that lived near the green pointed out where my shot landed. If you're playing the Gaylord area this year, this is one of the courses that has survived the dry weather nicely.
