Walked in about 1 pm .Two of us sat at bar. Bartender strutted around with tiara of flowers on her head . A waitress finally came behind the bar and took our order for a coffee and a bottle of beer . So was served a long neck bottle at the bar. And the coffee . Then asked the same waitress who happened to go behind the bar , for a glass of ice ( I drink beer poured over ice). I reached to the side a bit and took a coaster off a stack .The bartender with the alpine tiara then approached and informed that there was an ice rail to keep the bottle cold . The waitress brought me a glass with ice. I drank my beer and my partner finished his coffee . He was offered another cup . I was not offered another beer . We left . Will not return .

By reading the reviews this place must have had a recent renovation because the atmosphere was really nice, clean and they have food. We got there about an hour before closing on a Sunday so we just got appetizers and they were really good. Food on the menu and what I seen other people get looked really good. They have a huge selection of beer. I loved the Hefeweizen beer. Service was friendly. I won at Keno. What's not to like. I will definitely visit again and try more on the menu when I'm in the area. Looks like a lot of German food on the menu. Oh, and the iced bar to keep your beer cold was cool.

Mary's Taverne der beste Platz um nach Feierabend ein Bier zu trinken. Es gibt eine Vielzahl von amerikanischen Draft Sorten. Essen wird hier nicht angeboten.

Love this place! :)
Good pub atmosphere. For adults because there is no menu - yet. Clean, and the bartenders are great!

Went to a movie in town and took a drive through because we had never been there before. The bartender was super friendly and pricing was as expected. Would stop again if ever in Gaylord.

Sit with friends.....shoot some pool......many craft and domestic beers available. Now serving sandwiches or order out pizza.

Mary's Tavern is small but friendly. They offer regular bar food and recently began offering local micro brew beer. It sort of reminds me of Cheers, but a little darker.The beer is reasonably priced and it also has outdoor seating during the summer. Parking is right behind the bar and the bartender is always happy to help you out if you have questions about the town.

Looking for somewhere to watch the Red Wing hockey game with 5 women from out of town. The first two places we went to were way too busy and we wanted to actually watch the game. When we first arrived at Mary's it was very quiet, about 6:30 pm. We were able to enjoy the entire game with many draft selections, including northern Michigan breweries. Bartender was right on top of it! As the night wore on the DJ started and the bar became filled! No food here, but they order pizza from a local pizzeria around 10 pm. to be sold at the bar.

Drove by on our way to Treetops and this was our first bar stop for the night. Bartender wasn't very friendly and was more interested in South Park that was playing on the back TV. Had one drink and left.

Consistent with usual northern Michigan bar. We stopped in for beer and pool. Was empty when we arrived but it was a Monday evening. Bartender was friendly. Id stop back in next time I'm in town.
