Our 1-1/2 yr old loved it. There was a school bus load of kids when we got there but had plenty of room to explore. Definitely recommend to stop in and check them out. Host was informative and friendly !

Call of the Wild is an awesome place to stop! Very friendly and informative employees. Museum is great to see! Just stop and wander the gift shop for a break in your travel. And don't forget the homemade fudge. Delicious!! Must see

I have loved COW since I was a child. It's always been a part of my life! I was so happy to go and see it hasn't changed. The gift shop is always great and the fudge. Ohhh the fudge!

really nice place for a break in a long trip. They have made this unique "museum" of natural history with creatures from the area. The front desk gal was a granddaughter an quite sweet and knowledgeable about the animals, the pathways through the museum and the unique artifacts. They also have a "curio" shop there, with souvenirs and fudge. (Who doe not have fudge up here??!!??) Great stop; would go again

Great family experience. The animal scenes were very realistic. The scavenger hunt keeps little kids attention. The gift shop was reasonably priced and had lots of great items.

Tribute to local wildlife and history; been here nearly 60 years - yet continually upgraded. Takes about 45 minutes to go through all the displays and listen to the recordings. The staff provide a scavenger hunt to everyone; and for our family - each hunt was a little different. Keeps one's interest! The displays are realistic. There's a quirky video that's good for kids. The recordings at each display have been upgraded. There's a big gift shop with fudge as well. Finally, we did miniature golf on a cool 18-hole course attached to the museum.

We loved the scavenger hunt! The displays were well done and we love the mini golf and go carts. The staff is friendly and helpful. We received a cheerful greeting as soon as we entered.

It’s a must do, especially if you have kids! I’ve been going since I was a kid and now my kids go anytime we come through town. They d as Lao have a really nice gift shop too!

A tall waterfall was seen from Interstate 75, so it was decided to stop. This miniature golf course has some elevation changes and a decent variety of holes, with larger rocks making some holes quite interesting. The putting surfaces were in very good condition. Some holes were outstanding, including:
Hole #9 – surprisingly, hitting the ball into the downflowing stream may generate great results
Hole #17 – this hole has three different tiers
An ace was scored on Hole #18, but it was not the mystery hole. When players get an ace on the mystery hole, they win a free round of golf. Avid golfers should play this miniature golf course.

We spent about nearly an hour there. It was 2 adults and 2 teenagers. I'm thinking it would take longer with small children, as its very interactive.

This is locally owned, possibly they bought items from the other place. Typically the animals are northern Michigan.
