My first escape room experience - with my adult sons and daughter in law. We did the game room and had a great time - escaped with 7 minutes to spare! I would definitely do this again!

Nothing says holiday like slaying at the great escape room Grand Rapids. We successfully completed the escape artist rooms while Harry Houdini watched us from the walls! Spencer and hutch made this expiriance even better! We will deffiently return a 3rd time!

Highly recommend The Great Escape Room! This was our second time there and both have been great experiences. We did the “Escape Artist” room, which was an absolute blast. Our guide, Spencer, offered just the right amount of subtle clues (all delivered in an impeccable English accent no less) that helped guide our escape! We were warmly greeted by Hutch, who helped make the experience fun and seamless from start to finish. Loved it, and we will be back!!!

Our second time returning to the Great Escape Room and it was just as amazing as I remember! Spencer (our escape sherpa) was incredibly helpful and Hutch (she helped us before and after) made us feel so welcome the entire time. I highly recommend to anyone looking for a fun family activity!

Spencer made our experience so much fun! We had the best time as a family and Spencer’s comedic (and helpful) interjections were very much appreciated! Would recommend to anybody!

We are big Escape Room enthusiasts and enjoyed this “Scavenger Hunt” style room. Some of the hiding spots were very cool and they still had enough puzzles to make it challenging. Spencer, the game master, did a great job of giving us a nudge or two in the right direction without giving too much away.

This was my first time in an escape room. My son had done them a couple of times and encouraged us to try it. We had a great time looking for clues and working together to figure it out. The staff was very helpful and even gave a a few extra minutes since we were close to solving it. We had a greate time and would definitely come here again!

I think it depends on you. We were paired with a young couple & we had fun getting to know them a bit. If you are not all that social , I'd say bring your own group. Either way, you'll have a great time!

It's a mind challenge. You get a great thinking group and you go into several rooms with limited clues and try to figure the way out of the room. Several aspects will need people from different mindsets to solve the quest. Maybe a person with great knowledge of history would be good in one room and somebody with analytical skills would be very good to help out. A diverse group would be a successful group. It's a challenge of your mind,it's fun.

No, all rooms are the same. FYI, we had a Phd., 3 Masters Degrees, a Chemical Engineer and 2 old dummies (my wife and I!) and were challenged. All members of the team contributed in solving the puzzles, clues, details, brainstorming and "tricks". We cannot wait to try another when we are together again at Christmastime.

Yes this is a great activity for participants around the age of 12. It is a family friendly environment and most children in that age group have a great time searching for the clues and solving the puzzles. It's a great family activity if you're looking to try something different.
