If you've ever visited the Music House in Acme Mi. then you will really enjoy this place. Many reed organs are on display and all of them are in working condition (the ones that need restoration are in the workshop in the adjacent building). Don't miss the old schoolhouse and history museum. This is what museums were like a century ago (so I've heard).

The Museum is part of the Hanover-Horton Historical Society's offering to guests both local and from away. For a small town, the Museum is an amazing place to visit thanks to Lee Conklin a local farmer who collected antique organs. Upon his death his collection was donated for care and display ultimately ending up in the gymnasium of the "old Hanover High School" building on Fairview Street, Hanover, MI. The H-H Historical Society has expanded their collection of artifacts that are shown in classrooms located in the main building. This Museum is truly a gem and a pleasant surprise not expected in small town America and worth one's time to locate and visit.

Back years ago the museum was the school in Hanover. My grandfather attended school there and my dad was raised in the house right next door. I love the history of the small town and all of the beautiful organs that are collected there.
