It says dog friendly. Tried to call for a meal this afternoon and told dogs weren't allowed inside. Food wasn't being served outside either. Go to rake Hall, much nicer venue and dogs allowed, 2 minutes away

Because of Covid, Old Hall Farm currently does not offer the usual activities. However, the owners have invented a burger and sausage farm-drive-through. Really great idea and great food. Also loved the ice cream and eggs for breakfast.
Currently open on Fridays and Saturdays only. Strongly recommend. Food can either be taken away or eaten in the vast grassed picnic area whilst watching ducks and sheep walk past.

We went to get a drive through burger and fries. Fabulous food and great service. We will definately be back for food and to visit after lockdown

We are so pleased that you enjoyed our drive through burgers and Ice cream which we will be continuing throughout the summer as they have been incredibly popular .
As the current Government guidelines stand we have decided not to open the farm attraction side of the business. We deliver an exceptional hands on experience with interaction with our animals and customers and we believe that the current climate will not allow us to achieve this . We are currently looking at other options so please watch face book for our future announcements .We are excited to be considering new opportunities in this challenging climate . The Old Hall Team take great pleasure in delivering a great service and receiving great feedback

We spent the whole day here from 11-5 and enjoyed every second! The food was amazing, the gift shop was super cheap. The Halloween activities were great and staff took lots of time with the kids talking about the animals. Feeding the animals was lots of fun and the maize maze was so much fun. It beats other family farms hands down i will definitely return

We visited this farm this morning for the planned activities and it did not disappoint! Tracey was excellent at showing us round the farm and very informative on each animal and station. We had lunch here at the chicken shed, I enjoyed the soup, my husband had the hot dog which looked delicious (he doesn’t share!) my daughter had a kids box of sandwich, crisps, biscuit and juice which she polished off. Would recommend a visit here with or without children !

So glad we decided to visit. Luckily we saw it advertised in time to go as (being out of season) we nearly missed it.
Daddy was very interested in vintage tractors and workshops. Toddler loved seeing the animals and the pedal tractors. Mummy loved the tea room and ice cream parlour.
Even took some jersey milk, fresh from the farm, thanks to the milkbot system.
Will definitely visit again next time we come on holiday.

It was a lovely visit to the old hall farm. We decided to visit there an hour before we went....it was a great afternoon. Our party was 2 adults and 3 children....age 9,8 and 2. The children really enjoyed the ride on the cart with the Shetland pony. They helped feed the chickens, goats and a baby calf. The also held the rabbits
The rope swing in the barn was fun.
The shire horses were beautiful.
The animals are very well looked after.
The staff were very friendly looked like they really enjoyed being there.
The home made ice cream looked gorgeous.... Especially the lotus biscuit flavour. We opted for a latte from the lovely tea room whilst the children played in the out door play area with toy tractors.
We were local to area so they offered a discount....it was very reasonable...£11.50 for 1 adult and 1 child...under 3 are free....would recommend old hall farm for a impromptu visit. We had a great afternoon

This was a last minute decision kind of trip. 3-4hrs later we had to leave as the little one was too tired. What an amazing experience well worth a visit. From old steam engines to helping with the animals. Everyone made you feel welcomed and got the kids involved.
Half way through the visit we decided it was time to visit the cafe (food always required) well do you get what you paid for? The simple answer is no. You get a hell of a lot more and it is so filling and fantastic quality. For the older children they have made some tables to look like the front of tractors. They have gone above and beyond what they needed to in all aspects and haven’t missed out a tiny detail.
We tried the ice cream for afters (of course...has to be done) how nice was this I wanted them all. We will be visiting again and to those who don’t know whether to try it or not, we were the same and I’m glad we went.

We visited this afternoon with our grandchildren and enjoyed a really lovely afternoon.
The staff are all very friendly and make a great effort to encourage children to participate in the care of the animals.
The animals appear very happy and well cared for.
Steam engines on show today.
Will definitely visit again.

An absolutely amazing day, My husband Lionel, and his cousin Ernie have smiles spread from ear to ear.. they loved it, Chris took them through the finely detailed preparation with such a laid back attitude, nothing was too much trouble for him, as Ernie has Parkinson’s, Chris made sure he was safe and managed every step carefully.. Ernie had full intervention with every aspect of the experience..
Kettle was on all day with home-made shortbread... eggs and bacon cooked in the fire.. a lunch in the living hut of cheese & biscuits...Chris also made time for myself and Ernie’s wife (Jane)... The Farm was also of immense interest to the boys as a there is a workshop, repairing and building traction engines..
When it was finally time for the ‘highlight’ of the day,,to take the Engine around the village of Bouth. The boys were ready, and how they loved it.... they disappeared into the sunset for over an hour.
I can not recommend this experience enough.. we traveled a long way for it, from Peterborough, but it was worth every penny....

Hi just a quick question to ask whether the Shire horses can be ridden at all? Planning to visit anyway but spotted a few photos of Shire tacked up with saddle and it made my ears pur-doink.

Hi I am not entirely sure about riding but they are quite accommodating so just ask and I am sure that if their insurers cover the usual risks then they may be able to allow it. If you want to ride there is another organisation "Cumbria Shires" that do rides and seashore at that!

Hi yes it is possible to just pop in for an ice cream or coffee or even just lunch. We have a very pleasant seating area in the middle of the farm and pedal tra tors and gokarts foir the kids or kids ate heart
