Absolutely the BEST nuts anywhere, ever. I visit family several times a year (I live in Alaska) and I always, always, always stop here and stock up on these exquisitely roasted nuts to take home and enjoy. I usually spend between $50-$100 and freeze them when I get home. Other mixed nuts just pale in comparison. They have some kind of magical way they close the paper sacks as they dish them out to you I can never seem to replicate. They have baggies and tins to sell, but I bring my own so they stay fresh!
Worth every penny for the flavor, service and old-fashioned shopping experience. If you like nuts, this is a must when in Lansing.

So much fun and nostalgia shopping at The Peanut Shop! Even though it was busy, the line was out the door, the customer service was timely and courteous. The roasting peanuts smell amazing!

I guess this place has been around a long time. My gf had us stop in here to reminisce about her dad bringing her here for some cashews as a child. The place is not very big, but they were staffed well, busy, and had no shortage of warm and cold nuts of every kind imaginable. I honestly was surprised a place like this would be able to stay open for decades in this particular location selling only nuts. That said, it was an interesting throwback if you are walking downtown Lansing.

Within walking distance of our hotel, we decided to try some of the local shops. We like to support small local businesses and shops. We visited this shop, which was one of a few that were open later hours than most of the neighboring shops. Staff (several there) were not friendly (we were the only customers at the time, so figured there would be some degree of welcome). Nevertheless, decided to buy some peanuts. The product was unimpressive, not fresh, and seemed to be repackaged out of a bulk supply probably ordered from elsewhere, and about every fourth shell was empty, so it was a disappointing bag of peanuts. I give this shop an average as I am not out to hurt anyone.

One of my favorite places to stop and make a purchase while in downtown Lansing. Their nuts are always fresh and taste. Service is very good and friendly. What more could you want?
