All the staff of this agency has been very friendly to us. Pong, the owner, took quite some time the day before our trek to explain us the itinerary and the detailed program. We started our 2-day trek with a visit of the local market. Deng, our guide, explainded us a lot about traditional culture. We visited and spent the night in a Khamu village sharing with the locals. We went back to Luang Nam Tha kayaking on the river and visited an other ethnic group village. The organization of the trip was perfect, no surprise, and we learnt a lot about lao cuture. Go for it, it's unforgettable !!

I am so happy I did a tour with this company!! Noy, the organizer of our excursion at Jungle Eco Tours, was so great to us. We were 1 girl and 3 guys. She organized our 2 day 1 night jungle wild life trek and we had a great time. After our trek Noy even invited us to their home\guesthouse for a traditional Laos family hot pot and even let us stay in their beautiful bungalow all for free!!!! It was one of the guest's birthday and she bought a birthday cake for him. It was such a fun night. The whole family and their friends were so friendly to us. As for our trek, the guide was really professional, spoke English really well and took so good care of us making sure we were comfortable despite the rain. Probably the most authentic trek I have done during my 5 months of traveling. Go with Jungle Eco Tour, you will not be disappointed.

I would absolutely recommend these guys.beven though it was raining it made for a great trip. The guides were friendly, knowledgeable and cooked great food 😄. The tour actually included one more night at a local bungalow than advertised.

Our trek in the Namtha Reserve was top in all ways starting in the office with Noy, professional, trustworthy, charming and friendly, who made it all so easy.
We chose a two day private trek and our guides Deng and Kam were equally accommodating. Don't bother shopping around - it's a waste of time - these are top. Thank you "Jungle..." for a wonderful experience!

You could not want for a better guide or more generous hosts than Pong and his wife Noy. We had a family bereavement while we were with them and their help and support getting us home was simply second to none. Their knowledge, experience and language was top notch. The area was fascinating with great country side to walk and trek through. The hill tribe village visits were very interesting. It is though worth setting your expectations in terms of the degree of trekking to ensure you do as much as you want.

We booked the 'Authentic Lahu Experience' following the honest advice of Fabio, the friendly Brazilian running the jungle eco guide services.
I was sceptical about how authentic the village would be, but Fabio delivered.
First of all, the trek was amazing: a quite strenuous walk through dense jungle, after a short warm-up through a not so interesting village and ricefields. We ate what we bought on the morning market: it was cooked in the jungle by our excellent guide Deng (former Hunter I think), who also explained a lot about jungle plants and local culture in Very good English.
The Lahu village is built on the barren top of a big hill. I found arriving there form dense jungle very special. The village consists of about 25 huts scattered among the hilltop with animals walking through and an improvised sepak takraw pitch. We played the game with our guide before eating another really tasty meal. The villagers didn't really care about us, and were a bit shy. They didn't respond to 'Sabaydee', because they don't speak Lao. They don't go to school either, and don't participate in Lao society basically, which makes it a really weird, but so interesting place. The hut in which guests (guides incl.) stay is very simple, but have mattresses, pillows and mosquito nets. No toilet in the entire village, no running water either. So cool!
The walk back the next day is really nice too, but not to be taken lightly.
Wonderful experience.

We did a 3 day trek and had a great time, at a very reasonable price.
The main downside was the fact that it rained in two of these three days, but that not this agency's fault and it couldn't have been predicted.
The guides were nice and spoke decent English (we had two English-speaking guides and two local guides which did speak English), provided good explanations about the jungle, plantation and wildlife that we've encountered.
On the first night we stayed in a lahu tribe village and there we also got a good sense of how this unique tribe lives.
Of course the guides showed us all the basic jungle-trek skills shown in most agencies - building a banana leaf camp, cooking in bamboo and so on.
The guy working in this agency and effectively running the place, Fabio, is very nice, and was really helpful both with the trek and later on with info about Luang Namtha.
While I was comparing the different agencies around town, including green discovery and other recommend agencies, they all seemed pretty similar to me.
After going with jungle eco guide I really believe that there is no reason to pay the large amounts that some of these well-known agencies quote - The people running this agency took good care of us, and we got an awesome experience at a good price.

We booked the Lahu authentic experience with Jungle Eco-Guide. The first day we climbed up the mountain to a Lahu village and stayed there overnight. The view and sunset were amazing. The second day we walked down again taking another road. The tour was well organized and the food was good. The guide Kong showed us different trees and things in the jungle and was a funny guy. It was an amazing experience!
