If you get a chance to release the turtles (check in advance), take this tour! It is very enjoyable and involves a peaceful boat ride with rare bird views, and an incredible sunset! Of course the real highlight of the tour is releasing the baby turtles that are endangered species - it is an emotional and amazingly uplifting experience! Recommended.

We went to Cerro Negro with the company. they were very punctual picking us up at our hotel and the trip lasted as long as they said it would. Our guide, Erick, was wonderful and very patient with 2 beyond middle age, not so in shape women. there were three on our tour and we all made it to the top and survived to tell the tale. Their profits go toward education programs as well. I highly recommend them.

We stayed at Paz de Luna hotel owned/run by same folks who run Karmanica tours. So we already knew the wonderful Aaron and just did our tours through him: Telica Sunset and Mangrove tour at Juan Venado reserve. Enjoyed both, but especially the mangrove tour because of our excellent guide there, Moises Orozsco (highly recommended!)

We had an amazing time with the nice guides when going to- climbing and volcano-boarding down the Cerro Negro volcano!
Both the local nature expert guide and the English translator tour-guide have a lot of knowledge of the landscape surrounding the volcano as well as experience of volcano-boarding themselves. Their instructions made me feel safe even though I was quite nervous in the beginning. It was a really windy day, which made it a bit more frightening, but finally, the wind was just another additional kick. At one point though, I needed to get some help carrying my board, as I'm quite tiny and felt like I was going to drop my board in the crater. They were really nice about it and insisted on helping me the through the most windy part.
I definitely recommend the company to anyone wanting an awesome experience in Nicaragua, it's lovely and the price is fair as well. Emily helped us organize everything and they were all very flexible regarding the time and day of the tour, even though we were very last minute. Would we have had more time, we would definitely have wanted to to the Somoto Canyon with them as well.

KarmaNica Tours assisted with making reservations at a few hostals and tours throughout Nicaragua for a one week vacation with my boyfriend. They were able to provide advice on places to stay and activities to do in various locations which was helpful since we had limited knowledge of the area.
While we were in Leon, we were able to go on the Cerro Negro tour which was a great adventure!!
Volcano boarding was an awesome and terrifying experience, and I am so glad we did it! The KarmaNica staff provided good instructions and their support made us feel safe as we made the hike up the volcano with the gusts of wind.
The view from Cerro Negro is gorgeous, especially since we took the tour in the afternoon in order to see the sunset from the top of the volcano.
I would highly recommend this tour, and the prices at KarmaNica were the best we could find, great staff too!

Thanks to Karmanica Tours we had a rewarding experience in Nicaragua. I was born in Managua 40 years ago and currently living in Miami Fl, nevertheless I had never gone before to The Brasiles Island off the coast of Poneloya beach. What an incredible place to spend time with family and loved ones. The pacific waters were peaceful and beautiful. I was able to capture great moments with my camera and I enjoyed taking a nap with my 2 year old son in a hammock there. I recommend this trip very much.
We also visited The Somoto Canyon I could not believe how quiet and beautiful that place is. It was a great adventure. The local tour guys were awesome and were very attentive and helpful. We met Emely there for an amazing back horse riding which my son and wife enjoyed very much.
Thanks Karmanica! We will definitely repeat this awesome experience again.

We did two tours with KarmaNica. I had pre-booked as we were an adult family of six. Aaron sent email updates so we were well informed. We did the kayak to see baby turtles, and the sunset volcano tours. Aaron was very good. He called our hotel to let us know he would be 30 minutes late for the kayak trip…which was very nice as we had already experienced many late driver over the previous days during our visit to Nicaragua. He was also very understanding when some of our group did not want to go on the volcano tour and was able to group us with some others. Aaron speaks very good english, as did one of his other guides, I think her name was Margoree. Aaron was more than fair when some of my group decided not to go to the volcano and he was more concerned about making our group happy. He is an impressive young man and very aware of his clients needs.
