This walk is a beautiful walk. We had fog which made the experience with the colors even prettier. The river is so colorful, blue/green. We watched some ships on the river doing a turn around. The water on one side to view and some pretty architecture on the other.

My significant other and I decided to spend some time in Port Huron and while we were there we decided to drop by the Blue Water River Walk. The River Walk is an almost one mile long walk along the beautiful St. Claire River. There is a variety of local art work along the entire walk that is nice to look at. One of the areas biggest attractions is the conservation efforts. The area had been ravaged by industry and a lot of local wildlife has been affected by this. To help combat this the walk has a variety of areas for wildlife to have a safe harbor. One of the coolest areas is near the end of the walk where the wetlands is located. Definitely worth the walk and time spent here, especially to see some history of how the city used to look.

We come to this Riverwalk often. Maybe monthly, just to watch the freighters, get some exercise & sunshine, watch the birds. We appreciate that so many took the time to plan and create this space. The St. Claire River probably hasmore freshwater board walks along it, than any other location in the world. When its too hot or too cold, its nice to go in the Maritime Center.

Because it was so hot outside, the best place for me was inside the Maritime Center which is right on the river walk and the perfect access to it with unlimited parking and indoor snacks and coffee etc. You can just hang out for an hour.

Fabulous place to walk along the St Clair river and enjoy the international view of Canada. When in the Blue Water area, worth the time to take a stroll!

There are places next to the river where you watch the marine traffic and take a walk along the river. This area has been under development for a number of years an dis getting more people friendly.

Kind of isolated this time of year. Nice walk by the water but you do have to side step geese droppings.From the parking lot you can walk up to Main Street and walk through the town.

Port Huron has a walk way running from the beginning of the Saint Clair River at the base of Lake Huron and extending several miles downriver. A beautiful blue river with huge Lake Freighters and Ocean Going Freighters to watch. Excellent fishing all along the walk way and plenty of areas to just sit and enjoy the view. Safe. Stop at the building at the juncture of the St Clair River and the Black River (clean but darker water from swamps) which has refreshments and a lot of River lore. Just north of the walkway is Lighthouse Park with a fine beach and (of course) a Lighthouse that can be visited. Be careful not to swim very far out because this is where the current picks up speed to go from the Lake to the River. Safer bathing can be had further north at the Lakeside Beach. Beautiful sandy beach! Across the River from the walkway is Chemical Valley in Canada which has thousands of lights on its cracking towers. This used to be a polluting bone of contention between the two countries, but has much less effect of air or water than in the distant past. Basically just a good view of a foreign country that has been a long time friendly neighbor.

taking a break from driving went for a pleasant walk. The water is truly blue and looking at the bridges seemed majestic. Need to watch the ships go buy and ample park benches to sit on.

After attending a wedding in Port Huron, I decided we would so to the River Walk to enjoy the view. It was a little brisk out but with the sun shining I’m glad we went. Had a smile stroll and it was so peaceful to walk along the shore.

The Great Lakes Maritime Center is a real gem. It provides a wonderful background and orientation to the area, as well a wealth of info re passing freighters and other river traffic. There is no entrance fee and the volunteers are friendly, helpful and informative. There is also a farmer's market outside the Center on Tues & Sat.

The walk is very wide, I did not see wheelchair curb cuts, but it is so new that under ADA, my guess is that there would have to be and someone else said yes. It is very smooth and we saw lots of folks with baby strollers. It goes quite some ways. There is a median of green space between the road and the walk and that is where the public art is, but the public art is all visible from the walk. ENJOY !!!

The parking lot has handicapped parking and you can take your wheelchair out there and access the walk way.
