Amazing View
We came to Port Huron and stayed at the Double Tree hotel right at the Blue Water bridge and easy access to the Thomas Edison Parkway Boardwalk. Unbelievable blue water and an awesome view of the American/Canadian Blue Water Bridge. Several barges and ships passed by as we walked on the boardwalk along the St. Clair River and the mouth of Lake Huron. People fishing, riding bikes and having picnics. The weather was beautiful while we were there and enjoyed the museums at both ends of the boardwalk. The Thomas Edison Museum and the Huron Lightship Museum. We had a wonderful time, you must walk on the Thomas Edison Boardwalk when you come to Port Huron.

Bluest Water You Can Imagine
This is one of the most important waterways in North America. For decades, people have stopped by the river to just relax to the swiftly flowing water coming in from Lake Huron.

A great place to watch the sun and water

This is a really beautiful park with a boardwalk, benches a boxcar, a nice view of Canada and a statue of Thomas Edison himself. It’s a gorgeous place to exercise, fish or just sit and watch the sun, the boats and the beautiful blue water where Lake Huron meets the St. Clair River.

We are from the Erie County, Ohio area, where Edison was born, so we got to compare the statues!

Along the Boardwalk next to the St Clair River.
A very pleasant walk along the St Clair River from under the Blue Water Bridge out to look at Lake Huron, then up the hill and through Pine Grove Park. Good views and lovely gardens. There is a nice view of the Coast Guard cutter the Hollyhock, when it is in port. And excellent views of the river, bridge, and across to Ontario, Canada.

Ther are a few confusing breaks in the path along the river. Also for those who have problems walking there are some mobility issues down around the bridge and train tracks, simply getting over and across. And it needs some signage to show people what streets to take to get through to the next segments if the walk.

Mile Long Walkway
You won’t find many boardwalks as lovely as this one. From the most northern parking lot to the US Coast Guard boat near Pine Grove Park and back will give you a great walk and if you’re lucky, you may even see a freighter or two pass under the Blue Water Bridge. The only negative is the occasional flocks of geese. They can be messy and definitely have an attitude if you approach them. Please don’t feed them!

Very nice walkway -
We took our bikes with us on the trip and rode along the trail. It was beautiful and we saw 3 freighters while we were biking.

Great walkway
Beautiful views of the Blue Water Bridge! Lots of parking and seating. We went there to watch the Port Huron Float Down in August 2019. Great spot. Only negative is there weren’t any trees for shade. We went on a hot day but there was a breeze. Also too many bicycles riding on the walkway.

Every time I get to Port Huron. I make it a point to drive or walk up and down the Thomas Edison Parkway and boardwalk. The massive architecture of the “Blue Water Bridge” acts as the main focal point. The blue waters of Lake Huron and the clean, swift currents of the St. Clair River, provides enough composition to make this a masterpiece. Port Huron has done an excellent job making the Thomas Edison Parkway and riverfront boardwalk. With many excellent viewing areas and ample parking. The riverfront park is well maintained, has clean, level sidewalks. Provides plenty of places for awesome photo opportunities and to enjoy the rivers rushing currents and ocean going freighters passing by. There are so many awesome views and points of interest along the way. THOMAS EDISON PARKWAY BOARDWALK, is a must on your itinerary while visiting Port Huron, Michigan.

Great views....

Yet another place around Port Huron offering great views of the St. Clair river, Blue Water bridge, water traffic & activities, the city's waterfront, and wonderful sunrises.
And, of course, Canada across the water.
A great place to walk, run or just sit and relax. (The last option was our preference.)
