Girls weekend in St Joseph. We stumbled across the Krasl Art Center's weekend (I think monthly?) arts and crafts weekend, where you get a mystery box of craft items and build a sculpture. Great way to spend 1-2 hours with your friends. Free snacks, even! And as part of The Art of Egg Prize, we got to make tiny paintings too. Absolutely perfect afternoon making great memories.

We happen to be visiting during the Art Fair. I purchased some Hand Blown Glasses as well as a beautiful handmade quilted art piece beautiful enough to be framed!

I spent a couple hours at the Krasl, viewing the outside sculpture and the inside art pieces. It is an asset to the community and to visitors and should be supported. One can sit outside and enjoy the sculpture garden - some pieces are designed for kids so it may be noisy but that is ok. The collections vary on the inside. I found the staff to be most helpful with explanations of the pieces and with the history of the museum

My daughter and I stopped here with my 4-year-old grandson. He was happy to play outside with the blue, foam blocks. It was a nice little museum where you can sit outside at tables (a woman was working on a computer) or interact with the outside exhibits. Parking was right next to it.

Walk in anytime and the art displays change. It is free to the public and an outdoor area has been added to sit at. Children also can make items to be put on display.

We were in town for the St Joe Art Fair and heard that former White House photographer, Pete Souza, had an exhibit here. We were surprised at how nice this little place was. The exhibit showcased photos from both the Reagan years and the Obama years and it was thoughtfully put-together. We knew the photos would be great but we were surprised that a little town had such a lovely art center.

The Pete Suza photography display was impressive for a museum their size. The blown glass exhibit that reflects population changes in cities was both visually interesting and thought provoking. The staff has great information and is quite friendly.

unique feature of this small art center is their permanent collection is OUTSIDE. What fun for a summer stop. And they're in process adding a new outdoor feature due to complete fall 2018. They're very helpful inside where their local artist' shows change frequently. And, you can even peek in on working artists if you're lucky. We chatted with a ceramic artist. small, nice gift shop too. admission is no charge. The location of the outdoor walking exhibit is Very special. A treat.
