Best part of our trip to St . Joseph by far! Captain Rich was so nice, knowledgeable and fun to talk to. He pointed out several landmarks, taught us things we didn't know, was a pleasure to sail with. We went for a sunset cruise, worried about storms close by, but everything cleared and we watched a beautiful, unique sunset. Absolutely recommend a boat trip with him!

My husband and I celebrated our 15th Wedding Anniversary with Captain Rich. We had a beautiful afternoon on the water and had the opportunity to learn a ton about the St. Joseph area and it's environment from a very knowledgeable retired marine biologist. The perspective from a sail boat is something you can't get from the shore! Captain Rich is a such a nice person and is there to make you feel comfortable and make sure you have an enjoyable time. I would definitely recommend taking a sailing cruise on the Third Coast - worth the cost.

This was our second sunset cruise charter experience with Capt Rich. Last years cruise was perfect sailing. He even let my husband pilot the boat for awhile. Capt. Rich is super knowledgeable and entertaining. If you like sailing at all, this is the place to be! We chartered another sunset cruise this year, but unfortunately, the weather didn't cooperate. High winds and high seas. We decided to give it a try anyway. After clearing the pier head, and heading for a more sheltered area, Capt. Rich let us decide if we wanted to stay out or cancel. The seas were so uncomfortable, we decided to cancel. On the way back to port, Capt Rich toured us through another marina where he told us about the racing sailboats there and some interesting history. Even after we got back to dock, he offered for us to stay awhile and enjoy some wine. So even though we did not get the sunset cruise we had hoped for, Capt Rich made it a perfectly enjoyable time. He only asked for half the deposit $ for the time we were out and offered to refund the other half or we could apply it to a future cruise. Of course we applied it to a future cruise because we know we will be back!

Our evening with Captain Rich on his sailboat, Third Coast, was truly a memorable & amazing experience. From beginning to end, Captain Rich provides an exceptional sailing cruise and watching a beautiful sunset was just magnificent. My stepdaughter's comment "Dad, we need to do this every year!" says it all. Thank you so much for a fabulous time.

Captain Rich is one of the nicest people I have ever met. He made our afternoon cruise very relaxing and well worth every penny of his low charter cost. The boat was immaculately clean which is a big plus with our family. Captain Rich was also very accommodating while we were trying to book a cruise last minute. I can't say enough about his cruise. We are planning on making the trip to St Joseph again just to do an all day cruise with some friends.

We sailed with Captain Rich for a sunset cruise. Rich was quick to respond to my inquiries through the booking process, he was in touch with us a few days before the sail and the day of the sail making sure we had all the info we needed and he was monitoring weather to make sure we'd have a great sail. Rich was a great host; taking space from us when appropriate but right there to make us feel cared for and comfortable. The ship is spotless, very well appointed and he even provided complimentary wine and snacks. I would highly recommended Come Sail Away to anyone - experienced sailor or newbie. The dock he is moored at is clean, safe and easy to get to. Thank you for a great night out on the water.

My husband chartered a ride with Captain Rich for my birthday celebration. We knew it would be fun but we had NO idea it would be so wonderful! My first impression was good before we even went. We expected poor weather that day and Captain Rich kept in touch with my husband via email throughout the day and was watching the weather closely. He wanted to make sure we would have a good time and would give us a refund if the weather wasn't going to cooperate. He said he would provide cheese, crackers and wine and we could bring anything else along that we would like.
The weather ended up being BEAUTIFUL and we had an amazing ride. It was so calm that we couldn't even sail, just motored around but we didn't care!! He told us all kinds of interesting things about the area and put up with our excessive photo and video taking for our YouTube Channel - he even took some photos of us and let us interview him on video.
We had an AMAZING time and the sunset was just spectacular. He is such a nice guy and made the whole thing so enjoyable.
Also, the boat itself is just PERFECT!!
If you want to get out on Lake Michigan and have an enjoyable time - THIS is the way to do it. The price is very reasonable as well.

There are seats up front which offer incredible views as well!

5 just doesn't seem like enough stars for Captain Rich and his awesome sailboat. We did a 2 hour cruise and it was fantastic. Cpt Rich is really cool and really made the experience for our family most memorable. HIGHLY recommend taking a cruise with him.

We had a great time on our afternoon cruise with Capt Rich! He was great with my granddaughters---"letting them steer the boat" I would recommend Come Sail Away Charters and would not hesitate to schedule another trip!

My wife and I enjoyed an amazing Come Sail Away sunset cruise last week to celebrate our 10th wedding anniversary. Captain Rich Greenwood is fantastic. His 40 foot sailboat is beautiful, immaculate, fully equipped, and very comfortable. The Captain is very informed about sailing, the local area, and the Great Lakes ... very passionate about it all. He went the extra mile to ensure we had a great time, and we built some great memories. Oh ... he provides complimentary wines and appetizers, delicious! We highly recommend Come Sail Away Charters and the Captain Rich! This was the highlight of our trip to St. Joe, and we are enthusiastic about returning to sail again!

Is there a public cruise or only individual families ? What's the cost of the afternoon cruise ? Trying to find out if it's affordable for myself (age 55), my 23 year old daughter & my 3 year old granddaughter .
