Right offf County Rd 5 with plenty of parking. Nice blacktopped walking trail with wildlife all around.

Park in the parking lot off Highway 5 and take a 20 minute walk around the lake. It's a beautiful paved path with wooded sections, open parts near the lake and a raised boardwalk across a marshy end of the lake.

I regularly run on the path around this lake. It has a few small hills. I enjoy seeing the lake birds and people around the lake.

We visit Earley Lake/Day park weekly. Although we don't live in Burnsville, we go to LA Fitness gym there and will often bring our dogs with us for exercise. It's about a 2 mile trek to/from LA Fitness. And about a 1.5 mile trek around the lake.
The main entrance says Day Park and leads from the parking lot to a small playground and covered picnic shelter. The walk is fairly flat with 2 small hills on the south side, but manageable for many types of walkers or joggers. It is also easy to get around with strollers, wheelchairs or kids on bikes. There is a Senior Living facility on the NE side of the lake, so it's a quiet and peaceful place. It's a fairly private lake, with houses/townhouses on one side of the path and trees on the other, with excellent views of Earley Lake. You will see geese, different types of ducks and many bird species. It's kept up very nicely and always clear of litter. I often go there alone with my 2 dogs and have always felt safe.

Canoe Rack Rental ($55 for resident, $70 for nonresident)

Picnic Area
Picnic Shelter
Play Equipment
So, the next time you are in Burnsville, go down Cty Rd 5 and stop by, you will enjoy the walk!
