They're closed a few days each week as it's sort of off-season while the Ospreys are bag in Africa. But we popped in on a Sunday Morning and had a fabulous coffee and equally fabulous cake. Love it here

Unfortunately we did not see the ospreys, we knew that the two females had already migrated and that the two males may have gone too by the time we visited. That was a bit disappointing but our visit was made memorable by the fantastic staff who gave us lots of information, showed us videos and answered questions. We also saw a snake, which was an unexpected treat.

Went to hopefully see an Osprey, payed our money and spoke to the young lady at reception, only to be told they left for Africa on Monday, a bit disappointed to say the least!!Anyway we had a walk around in the lovely sunshine!!

What can I say did not know what to expect decided to give it a try OMG...what a great place to visit £6 each best 12pound we've ever spent amazing place amazing staff very helpful and knowledgeable ospreys were great to see thru telescopes provided clean and easy well maintained walkways..dragonfly plenty cafe and staff is lovely friendly great place for photos only disappointments was never got to see any otters mayb next time we both look4ward to visiting again

This was great fun, loved the live cams and the gigantic hide with telescopes set up for viewing. All the volunteers were a credit to the Wildlife Trust they were incredibly knowledgeable, enthusiastic and really keen to help you see the birds. We were lucky as they hadn’t migrated so we saw them through the scopes. On the board walks on the way to the main and smaller hide we saw tiny toads and frogs and even a small lizard. The visitor centre was lovely and the food and service in the cafe was exceptional.

Amazing visit to see the ospreys. We wondered if the entry fee of £6 would be worth it and yes, it definitely was! Staff were very knowledgeable and helpful. When you first enter you can see the live web cam footage on 4 large screens, stunning quality. We were lucky enough to see Idris, adult male, eating a red mullet he had caught, also the 2 youngsters in the nest. There is also a screen where you can see beavers, either recordings or live footage. After coffee we walked down to the viewing platform where there are scopes set up for all to view the nesting platform. Very knowledgeable staff told us which osprey we could see and answered many questions, we saw a video of this years youngsters being ringed, strange the parents do not attack!
Altogether a well spent £6 and few hours, would recommend to all in the area. Fully accessible as lifts available and spotless toilets.

We had the best few hours here! Right from entering the building we had the friendliest welcome, ALL the staff were just amazing, so helpful and enthusiastic. Our 5 and 2 year olds loved the whole experience! We hired some binoculars for our daughter for £5, we watched the webcams for a while and the brilliant staff member told us all about this amazing project we then had a slow walk along the beautiful board walk, spotted 58 lizards which the kids loved. Even bumped into some men doing some maintenance and they were lovely chatting to us and the little ones. The observation tower is great, we got to see all 4 Osprey through the set up telescopes! We then had a well priced and tasty lunch upstairs in the cafe! Over all a fab few hours!

A big thank you to volunteer Anne who gave my partner and I a wonderful welcome on a very wet day to this lovely visitor centre over-looking the reserve. We enjoyed a cup of tea and a very yummy piece of cake from the cafe whilst watching an Osprey from the huge window upstairs. A well set out visitor centre. It was a shame that the weather was so awful at the time of our visit. I’m sure we will be back!

A fantastic morning out. My family have been monitoring the ospreys online for a few years and it was great to see them in person. The building and walk ways were immaculate and the treats in the coffee shop were lovely. We were slightly let down with the walk as we’d have liked a few more nature walks but what was there was great.
The team at the project were very friendly and full of information.
Would totally recommend and will be revisiting.

The perfect place for a pushchair stroll.
My friend and I, both with young babies enjoyed the pushchair friendly board walk. Very peaceful and quiet.
The cafe had great coffee and cakes. Everywhere was fully accessible for pushchairs/wheelchairs.
Will be back again this Summer for certain.

Dogs not allowed unless support dogs. They are closed now until easter and having a complete new rebuild.

I apologise but am I correct in reading that today the osprey centre has closed for the rest of the year now from today ?
I’m in the area from tomorrow until Thursday and would loved to have visited

To the Manager....Thank you for taking the time to respond to my recent review. I did not mean to be unfair about your volunteer's physical appearance (I am a big lady myself). I just wanted to make other travellers aware that this is not a free attraction. You expect visitors to pay £4 each on entry. We were just passing through and only stayed about 8 minutes. I awarded you 4 out of 5 stars (very good). If your volunteer's attitude had been less oppressive, I would have given you full marks. We are keen wildlife supporters. I have since "donated" the shortfall on line. Dioch.
hi, it is my partners birthday in November, he is just watching the osprey on countryfile and I would love to bring him for a suprise birthday treat.
Are you still open in November and is it a good time to visit? would it be better to wait untill spring?

Ospreys will not be there then, but it's still a beautiful walk and plenty of other birds and wildlife to see.
