Amazing tour!

My husband and I did this tour in July. Our guide was super knowledgeable sharing stories and facts about Prince's work and life. We got the added bonus of seeing the room of shoes which was quite amazing. Would recommend.

Not worth the money

No pictures allowed which is fine, but they lock your phone in a case you can carry, all smart watches have to be turned off. They take you into only the main floor, you get to see Prince's office, they have his music playing fairly loudly all throughout the tour, but it is all different tracks. As you move from one area to another it is a different album. The tour guide was not good. She told us we could google things. As we went into the studio areas, you had to put your face up to the windows to see into the control rooms. The control rooms aren't well lit so it was really hard to see. The guide's voice was soft and she didn't project and she didn't even try to make sure everyone could hear. At one point we were in a long hallway with a cool mural of lots of musicians, the overhead music was very loud and we were lined up from one end to the other, we couldn't hear anything she said. The shoe room was cool, and the guide played a song with 2 different sounds that was neat. They should do more interesting things like this. When we got to take pictures we thought that would be cool. When we got the email with the link, our link flashed the picture for less than a second then it was gone. When we tried to contact them to see if we could still get our pics, NO RESPONSE! We did end up googling some things after the fact and found out that Prince opened for The Rolling Stones; the guide should have shared stories like that. We did The VIP Experience $150 and 2 hours gone. All of us were so DISAPPOINTED. Other music producing museum tours are hands on and full of people who know the real history (Sun City, Muscle Shoals).

Bucket List Dream

This tour was on our bucket list. Fans of Prince since the 80's, this tour did not disappoint. In fact, it was AMAZING! The facility is beautifully maintained, the guided tour exceptional, and items on display mouth dropping. His shoes!! Our takeaway, Prince was a private man, a prodigy, businessman, and visionary. In complete awe of what he accomplished in his lifetime. Highly recommend visiting.

A Glimpse into Prince’s Music World

This was on our to do list and we are glad we made the trek. We had a very good tour guide that shared a good overview of the facility and the life of Prince. Where it fell short was the gift shop. There was very little to choose from for any fan that took the time for this particular museum experience. With the right marketing, there could be a huge amount of ideas of token memorabilia that would translate into good profits. (ie. berets, copies of shoes, corvette models, diamonds/pearls, etc)These profits could then be utilized for other music related endeavors, charities or social movements that Prince was involved with.

Good except for staff

Would have been better if security weren’t jerks. It’s interesting to see a very small glimpse at the business area of Paisley Park. Absolutely no glimpse on the personal side of Prince. The guide was nice and answered questions but the security… wow. Not only the gate security but the cell phone/rule advisor were absolute power tripping a holes. Whomever is in charge of staffing needs to reevaluate if this is what you want the initial impression and takeaway of Paisley Park is.

Awesome experience! Our guide was so knowledgeable and the vibe was warm and inviting. Visiting Paisley Park exceeded my wildest expectations! A must see!

Ultimate tour worth it for a modest fan.

Did the Ultimate Tour which, surprisingly, was worth the price. I'm not a big Prince fan although I've always loved his music but found his music production vision very interesting. Tommy was a great tour guide, having been in the mix of local fans while Prince was alive.

Even Non-Prince Fanatics Will Enjoy This Tour

I am sure Prince devotees will rave more about this than I possibly could but let me be the voice of a not-big Prince fan. This was a fantastic experience.

We did the lowest level of tour and selected the first tour of the day. We, and 20 or so other folks, had our cell phones secured before undertaking the tour. This was an intimate look at part of the home that Prince built. It truly was a wonderful tour.

If you have doubts, don't. Even just regular folks will enjoy seeing all the artifacts that remain from Prince's untimely demise.

How can I NOT give this 5 out of 5? Tomi was a GREAT guide.

Did the 3 hour ultimate tour. Tomi was our guide and he was excellent. His passion for all-things Prince/Paisley Park, was evident from the start. He appears to have a long history with Prince and the entire Minneapolis music scene, and is a die hard fan. Extremely knowledgeable about Prince's entire career, the work Prince did, etc. His energy and passion made the tour so worthwhile. Im a die hard long time Prince/Time (and most of the other acts as well) fan, and it was my first time in Minneapolis. (or even Minnesota). Being AT and INSIDE Paisley Park is a surreal experience for a fan. and Minneapolis itself is a gorgeous city with so much character. For our weekend, JUST by coincidence, Morris Day & The Time were performing downtown the night of our Tour. Thanks to Tomi for letting me know as I IMMEDIATELY booked tickets as soon as we left the tour. Ended up standing front row dead center stage for the concert. Imagine seeing The Time..IN MINNEAPOLIS...in PERFECT summer night time weather, hours after being at Paisley Park. The stars could not have aligned any better. I HIGHLY recommend this tour. Not sure if you can request specific guides, but Tomi works weekends only, but he's a 10 out of 10. If I had to voice one note: There is almost zero mention of Prince's passing, and zero mention of the round building adjacent to the main building. And the entire upstairs area of Paisley is not open for the tours. Im sure there are reasons for all of this, but not sure of the reasons. Still, I cant help but give this a 5 out of 5 rating for the overall tour experience. I'd go into more details about the tour, but its not worth me giving away all of the things one should experience in person for themselves.

Paisley Park Is In MY Heart!

My husband surprised me with The Ultimate Experience at Paisley Park. We live in KY and made the long drive out this past weekend. We are very much Prince fans. In fact, our first dance as a married couple 31 years ago was to Adore. I believe Prince to be a musical genius, one of the best guitarists to ever play, and what a showman!! It was so hard when we got the news of his passing. Having said all that, I was overcome with emotion just pulling up to the building and seeing the symbol out front. The tour was 3 hours (16 people in our group), but it was never boring or long. I could have stayed a lot longer. We got to see and hear so much thanks to our wonderful guide Tommy. He was a wealth of knowledge. I loved hearing his personal stories of experiences he had with Prince during his life. Made the tour that much more special! The sights, sounds, and overall experience was one I will never forget. And yes, I would do it all over again if given the chance! #Paisleypark #Prince
