I wanted to buy two e bikes and went to DCL in Poundbury as they were the local Haibike & Specialized dealer. They were all very helpful and we spent over two hours trying bikes and asking questions. All staff were extremely patient and took the time to explain everything. Bikes now chosen and free delivery has been arranged.
Top marks to them all.

Seriously think about purchasing the electric Haibike range, this happened only after 17 months and out of warranty. They were not really interested and showed me another wheel like it, and said common fault.

After booking in two Raleigh electric bikes for service I arrived only to be ignored and treated with what can only be described as disdain. I eventually was acknowledged when I said what I was here for. I also told them that the head bearings on the steering needed replacing on one of the bikes as advised by two other shops while on holiday. I was told that they could not feel anything wrong with it but they would have a look.
I returned and was told they had greased the bearings and it was alright for which they charged £15 for on top of the £100 for the two services. Later that day I phoned them up to say it had not solved the problem. They disagreed so I asked them to order the bearings and phone me when they arrived which they agreed to do. I confirmed they had my telephone numbers. 3 weeks later I am still waiting!,!!!!! So I went to Halford who agreed the it was obvious the head bearings needed changing which they did and the bike is now fine.
I like the ‘THINK BIKE’ campaign but would like to add one for this shop....

On the hunt for a lighter, easier to manage new ebike more suitable for me at 5'2" . in Dorchester & came across this shop. Walked in (owner was attending a customer outside) a man approached me in the shop as I was lifting the front end of the bike, after curtly saying what are you after, a few more aggressive questions, an attitude of"can you really afford this" culminating in "madam why do you keep ilifting the bike why are you so bothered about the weight" This man was curt, aggressive & downright rude.....consequently I walked out of that shop along with my £2k budget!!

Very helpful. Lent me brand new bike while mine was sorted. Couldn't be more helpful. These bikes are so much fun and I have stopped using my car. You need some paniers and get a spare key!

Got lots of information and great service from knowledgable staff. I'm very pleased with my Raleigh and had a free service and inspection a few weeks after purchase. I was unlucky to get a puncture but had they gave me a very quick repair with only a small cost. Would recommend this bike shop to anyone thinking of buying an electric good quality bike.

Located on H.R.H. Prince Charles Poundbury development.
Dorset CycleLife (Electric) is a nicely presented & well stocked cycle shop specialising in E-bikes (battery assisted cycles) & their accessories, energy drinks/products, oils/lubricants, helmets, locks, tyres, etc.
Staff pleasant, polite, helpful & knowledgable.
Full sales/service/repair facilities offered.
Bike rental available. (When renting supply proof of identification: Driving licence, passport & a couple of utility bills, deposit held against a credit card (refundable)). Hire fee of £30.00p or £40.00p per day (dependent on the type of bike hired). 6 hour rental duration between 10.00am & 4.00pm. Tuition given.
E-bikes - A great bit of kit & a great way to exercise & have fun.
Don't be put off by "purist" cyclists saying it's cheating!! - It's not.
Just had a great day out (using a Raleigh Strada with choice of selecting either manual or auto gear change) along
Bike Route 26 from Poundbury, through the outskirts of Dorchester, Weymouth, (along the Rodwell Trail) to the Isle of Portland (stopping for lunch) & back.
I shall use this outlet again. Give it a try. Recommended.

Latest electric power assisted bicycles! They really know their bikes! If you have not tried one then this is a must visit shop!

Was invite on the Dorset Cycle life's Sunday day out. 25 mile road and cross country ride. WOW what a great day and one way to trial my new ebike out to the limits... Only problem was needed to stop at a pub in Abbotsbury and have some lunch and a pint 😜👍🏼 great support from Peter and Simon at the shop. Well worth a visit to see them.
