50 miles of bike trail through the most scenic areas of Minneapolis including around the Chain of Lakes and along the Mississippi River. Amazing amount of natural beauty in a densely populated urban area. A real treasure for those of us who are lucky to live here

We walked part of the Byway. Did the flour ruin park, stone arch bridge, Father Hennepin Island, St. Anthony Falls, rode on a scooter, visited the university and the locks.

Loved our trip around the Grand rounds. Rode with our bike group one Sunday in September. Reasonably well marked, but be sure to check the map at each of the gazebo like structures or run a map app on your phone. Beautiful ride.

A great way to see the area by motorcycle or on 4 wheels. There will be some traffic but well worth the patience to wind your way through the sights of this area.

This is a great place just to walk and unwind. Beautiful walkway and good place to sit a relax to enjoy the water and just people watching. Saw a lot of other folks walking/running and also biking.

Our family lives here and this is our favorite place to walk as a family. The sights never get old and we always have a great time. Highly recommended!

Enjoyed seeing the side roads of Minneapolis. We started at St Anthony Parkway, stopped at the Mississippi River, and Eloise Butterfly Garden in Theodore Wirth Park

The Miss River is obviously a big draw and feature of MSP. The Grand Rounds celebrates the beauty now but also the history of the area and use of hydro power to fuel the growth of this area.
You can bike or walk but we chose to walk. It's very doable and not strenuous if you are in good walking shape. There aren't any steep grades.
This is heavily used, by tourists and locals alike. In fact, my family wondered out loud at one point if anyone in MSP even works.
There are signs throughout noting various features and they are worth a read. We even saw an otter our 2nd time through.
We walked both in the day and evening. The area is safe and the views of city and river are great.
Highly recommend.

Great bike ride! Some shade, but don't go when it is too hot. You need a map, because the whole route is not marked. Great way to see the cities.

Not that I am aware of, you could call the Minneapolis Park Board and ask them if they offer a guide, it is a easily marked path and a beautiful ride.
