I live in MPLS but had never been to The View before- and I realized with good reason. The entire staff- from the moment we walked in the door acted annoyed that you were there. Our food was over-seasoned so we asked to have it re-done. The bartender angerly grabbed the plate and slammed it down without saying "I am sorry about that, etc." I would never go back to this restaurant again and I suggest that you do not waste your time or money there.

The View is trying very hard to be High Class however, with staff like they have it is a long shot. I sat at the bar with 3 ladies. All of us have served in our past lives so understand how to treat customers. What a joke!!!!! The bartenders acted annoyed or like you just ruined there day when asking for anything. Isn't that your JOB people? If your that angry - change your life or find a new career. These people were the most boring, uncharismatic people I ever seen. It baffles me that they would work in the restaurant industry. I am embarrassed for The View to have people like this working there. DO not go here - complete waste of time and you will leave annoyed by the lack of service and the disrespect. PATHETIC.

I normally don't leave reviews, but just had brunch and had such awful service I wanted to let other people know. Showed up for brunch and took us forever to get menus, forever for our order to be taken, then the waiter forgot my coffee and didn't show back up for 10 minutes to be reminded, and when he brought the food he let me sit for 10 more minutes before coming back and realizing that I didn't have any silverware. When my friend produced a gift certificate he gave us attitude. At this point we started giving attitude back, and he called us "dicks." The food is mediocre, the location is difficult, and with service like this, there's no reason to go to The View. Especially if you get the asian guy waiter. I am never going back, there are too many other good restaurants in uptown.

I went here over the weekend to have a drink with my boyfriend and to meet up with some friends.
As I was about to order a drink, I saw a little rodent (mouse? rat? i dont know... i think it was a mouse), running across the floor. It stopped over by a table, and I told the bartender about it. The two bar tenders, my boyfriend, and I, all sat there staring at it. The bar tenders had no reaction, and one of them said "Well we don't have rats in our vodka."
Pretty classy, huh?
