So we normally go to water park of America but the water park of America food is cold and WAY over priced. So we came back to this hotel instead. This hotel is okay.. the food was amazing and supper nice staff. The elevator is freaky, their is aloud bang when it starts. The water park was more like a pool with 2 small slides. I’m pretty sure some one peed in the pool. The rooms could have Been better. We are most definitely going back to water park of America next year.

We took our kids there for a winter mini-vacation. We only live an hour away and arrived on Thursday evening, staying through Saturday noon. Our kids are two years old and 6 months old and they both loved it. The pool starts at zero entry which they both enjoyed with a small slide and bubbling fountain water. The pool progressively deepens and connects to deeper and deeper sections. I would definitely recommend a life vest or flotation device, as our daughter had one and enjoyed exploring areas where she could walk and where she had to swim (note: all of the pools are connected, so you are not likely to "contain" smaller kids without being in the water the whole time.) The middle part of the pool is a comfortable depth for parents to sit in the water and hold babies and small children, so we did not use a "floatie" for the baby. The staff was friendly and helpful and worked hard to keep up on washing and stocking the fresh dry towels. The concession stand was available and you can charge drinks to your room, so no need to bother with your wallet. We did not see many people with food, so I'm not sure how it is, but there is a decent selection of alcoholic/non-alcoholic drinks. Since we arrived on Thursday night, we enjoyed being one of three families in the water park and it was about the same on Friday morning. Be aware that if you are hoping to come at an "off peak" time to beat the crowds, the water park is NOT open all day, every day. Check the available hours. We live about an hour away, but enjoyed staying at the hotel, visiting Cabela's and the RAD Zoo, and lots of swimming and restaurants. Overall a great winter trip!

Took our grands out on winter break. It is the only indoor water park in the area. The lifeguard was very helpful as it was our first time here!

I took the grandkids out for a day away in the wet/cold weather. We happened to be the only ones there for a short time and the life guard was wonderful! Soon, a number of families joined us and it was a great time!

Just visited for the first time with our grandkids. We went for the day over spring break. The lifeguard was very sweet and attentive to the kids. The water was bathtub warm and the changing room was good. I would definitely take the kids again!

Everything about this hotel seemed a bit chaotic. We went with our two young boys for a little weekend trip. Check in was longer than I expected, only one set of guest elevators, hallways and rooms in the need of a upgrade, pool area was cramped and chaotic, restaurant was super slow. The lifeguards at the pool didn't really care that older kids were being ridiculously out of control, there was a mad rush for towels once they came from housekeeping, few chairs to rest on. We took a break for supper and the kids didn't even want to go back to the pool area (I really don't think it's large enough to be called a waterpark), so we went to a movie instead.

Needs some updating...looking tired. Two major slides is all...one to slide down with an inner tube and the other without. Needs more supervision by the lifeguards.

We enjoyed a weeknight visit to this hotel and pool/waterpark. We chose this hotel because of the waterpark and a very reasonable rate that included the usual HI amenities (kids eat and stay free) and wristbands to the waterpark. It's not very big but I think it is perfect to pre-teens and younger.

It was ok. The lazy river is small. The slides were ok. The deep pool is connected with the toddler splash area and is very dangerous. Several kids wandered over there and couldn't touch. I had to save a little girl twice!!! No lifeguard in sight! We had to leave the pool until it was hotel guests only. Then it was much better.

The Great Serengeti waterpark has a smallish, zero-entrance pool that is great for young children. It slowly gets to about three feet deep so my one year old was able to play in shallow water. She loved the water sprayers and the small waterslide. There are some large African animals in this area which she loved. My six year old spent most of his time in the 3 foot area. Then there is a little bit deeper area (4 or 5 feet maybe?) with basketball hoops that is separated through a small opening.
Unfortunately, this main pool area was rather cold! The kids didn't seem to notice, but I would rather have a bit more warmth.
Outside of the main pool are two large waterslides and a small lazy river. Luckily, the water here was warmer. One slide requires tubes (which are provided) and the other slide you don't use a tube. Both are fun. The lazy river is small and uninteresting. A couple times around it and I was done. My bigger kids had fun with it though.
Finally, there is a nice, large hot tub and a snack bar, as well as an arcade area. All-in-all, pretty nice for a hotel pool!
