This is no longer a bookstore, the store closed in 2014. It is now owned by the city and concerts and other things happen here.

This is closed. There is nothing there by a sign saying visit the town downtown website. There are some shops next to it and places to sit outside. Nice water sculpture outside

I like to go here because it has a cheaper price than some other theaters, it's clean and I just like it here. They have different parking areas. They do not shovel the snow off the walks well and have covered the walking path/steps from the small/side parking area with snow so you have to walk between the parked cars to a walking area... that bugs me A LOT. The seats are comfortable and it's an enjoyable movie time each time I go.

This was a fun exhibit. It takes around 45 minutes to go through. The staff member that was there was very helpful, went out of his way to take our pictures in front of the prop.

Truly a beautiful building exterior. Once a beautiful theater, but converted into an amazing Barnes and Noble Bookstore that couldn’t stay open. This is an empty building now.

This theatre has the most comfortable seats in Rochester. It is also conveniently located to downtown Rochester.

Do your homework before you travel. Checking this venue by photo alone is not factual. There is a Chateau Thester in town, but it does not look like the photos and it is not downtown.

These photos you are seeing in Trip Advisor is an historic old theater building in downtown Rochester. It was a theater 90 years ago. The Barnes & Noble bookstore occupied this building until it closed on Dec. 31, 2014. There is currently nothing inside of this building. Do not be confused!! The Chateau Paragon 14 is the actual movie theater, the one with large recliner seats. The Chateau Theatre downtown was a Historic Place, and there is nothing inside currently. Trip Advisor REALLY needs to fix this. It’s confusing for people who don’t live in Rochester.

They offer the latest movies and it's great that reservations and choice seats are available. Their lounge atmosphere is very cozy. This has been my "to go" movie theatre for years and I love the improvements that they have made. It's a constant for them keeping up with the latest there is to offer to clients.
